Madden NFL 10 Screenshots: Sneak Peek at the Jags Uniform/Helmet

Just played a full 10 minute quarter game at home on my big screen - Titans (me) vs. Steelers. I won 31-27, Roethlisberger picked me apart (including a deep bomb to Sweed that caught me in man coverage) but I came back with Smash and Dash and scored on the final drive. I saw so many great things (along with a ton of issues that I've got to get fixed asap as well

), but the game overall just put me in a good mood, so I thought I'd share something new and cool.

This hasn't even gone live on our site yet, but I thought I'd give my fellow OS brethren a first look at the Jaguars new uniform and helmet before we post it live tomorrow:

Very nice work Ian. I did not think that you could re-create the color of their helmets. It looks very authentic.

Great Job Ian.. i really wish some of theese peeps would chill with the minor details that dnt mean much once the game starts like teal vs. green helmets

Yeah, god forbid that we'd want the only NFL game in production to have the correct colors for all the teams.

as a hobbyist photographer, I know that getting colors, especially shades of a color, to look right and lifelike is extremely difficult. All the things that can go wrong and skew a color are just mind boggling. I think the Madden designers deserve a lot of credit for all their efforts. This is a terrific effort. keep up the good work!

Yeah, but compare that with the pic firktaf posted earlier showing the helmet being worn outdoors. In that photo the helmet definitely has a more teal-ish hue.

That's because they're using a yellow light for the spot light. That's not natural light. If you look just below that greenish spot, then you can see that the flashes from people's cameras are showing the natural color of the helmets. Every single helmet in these 3 galleries(http://forum.jaguars.com/index.php?a...&req=sc&cat=12) shows the reflection being the correct teal(i.e. it matches the uniform). So, this is the color it should be presented as in the game.

I'm not sure if it has been said yet, but the nameplate font is off. It is in the old style which is not what they are using anymore.

can't believe I'm about to comment on another man's legs....here we go....

seems like his thighs are close but the thigh pads need to be bulked up much more in the player model

Good observation. They should've used those "Reveal" or Daylight bulbs.
