Madden NFL 11 News Post

Ian has chimed in with a quick blog, reminding everyone about the Super Bowl halftime Madden NFL 11 video blog.

Quote:
"Before you watch the video, I want to be very clear that our vision for the Madden NFL franchise hasn't changed. I know some folks expressed concern that the hiring of Mark Turmell equated to turning Madden NFL 11 into Madden NFL Blitz, but things couldn't be farther from the truth. We are all 100% focused on creating the most true-to life NFL simulation experience as possible - and that's always been the goal (a goal set forth by John Madden himself 20+ years ago). We set a clear vision statement last year and it still holds true for us - "Everything you see on Sundays, see it in Madden NFL". We want to accurately deliver an amazing NFL experience in our game, whether it's through simulating the feel of a broadcast, re-creating the immersion you feel sitting at the 50 yard line at your favorite team's stadium, or making you feel like you're suiting up and putting on your pads again. Madden NFL 10 took great strides in this area but we all know there is more to accomplish. Our best bet towards reaching those goals is staying the course and continuing on our progress that we made last cycle."

I just cant play that anymore since Madden.Madden looks great.
I thought they were better than last years but, I hope there a lot better this time around. I'd also like to see more animations but, one of my pet peeves was the running back would run up on a lineman and get stuck there sometimes. There's a lot that is going to be expected in the next few years. Hopefully specific running back styles will get in this year just like specific QB throwing motions got in last year.

Overall more animations for the game is needed VERY BADLY. I get tired of seeing the same motions on a consistent basis over and over again. Maybe specific running styles will keep it a little more fresh this year if that gets added into the game.

I agree with you. My biggest issue with the game was the animations, mainly the running animations. There was a huge thread on it, but It just was never fixed. I believe I remember hearing that locomotion and running animations will be focused on heavily in Madden '11. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Well Ian and crew I'm sure is working hard on the graphics and all. But it takes time. It is way to early to know what willl and will not be improved in 2011. But I'm sure Ian and his crew is going to try their best. I am looking forward to a much better halftiime and post game show. But time will tell I guess. They are always making improvements in the game year after. So it's going to be excited to see what they will do this year for improvement.

Cool video. It's cool to see who actually makes the game. Ian looks like a porn star with that hair but I digress. I'm looking forward to what they have in store for the game this year.
