Are you guys serious about not believing Charles is that high? Do you guys have any idea the numbers this guy has put up the past 2 years? Of course not, since he is in a small market midwest team, the national media glazes over it. Lets look at some stats...

In 2009 he started the 8th game of the season, he had a few yards before those 8 games, in the 8 games he started he put up 1120 yards 7 touchdowns and had a 5.4 yards a carry average. Even having a 259 yard game against Denver that year.

Last year, he didnt start. Thomas Jones did. Charles was STILL second in the league in rushing(1467) and ALMOST broke the all time record for YPC average all time with 6.4(6.5 is the record). And theres still a question why this guy is that high?

Honestly, Charles deserves his rating. He has been a beast. So, I agree here.

Very true. I would say the top 5 should be:

Peterson: 95
Charles: 94
Johnson: 94
Jones-Drew: 94
Jackson: 92

Completely agree. He was the best back in the league last year. The only reason to maybe question the high rating is that he hasn't had a full year as a starter. Still, his talent and production despite that are enough to warrant it.

The Absence of Arian Foster amazes me

Shouldn't you be a starter on your own team before you are deemed the best in the league?

Eh, it was a weird deal. He didnt start games(they always put jones in the first series and charles the 2nd) but he would end up with more carries than jones the majority of games like a starter would of. I have no idea why they did that when charles was clearly the better back

Arian Foster and Ray Rice.

But hey...we can edit to our hearts content!

Jamal Charles the third best back in the league???

Are you sure??????????

I have to say, although I am a chargers fan, I think Charles deserves his rating. We are going to have a hell of a time stopping him this season.

What's this?

No Frank Gore?

I smell a conspiracy here, the man had a fractured hip and all and was still over a 1,000yds like 4 years in a row.

SMH!

I guess it's kind of like the NBA and this sixth man business. Like how on the spurs, Manu Ginobli clearly should be starting but the Spurs feel the need to bring him off the bench.

Arian Foster.

Don't think charles should be that high. Maybe foster in his spot but everything else is good.

Charles averaged 6.5 yards a carry last year, that's sick.

All these people wondering if Charles should be that high obviously didn't watch the NFL last year, they must've just watched their hometown teams or the popular ones. Sigh... and I believe Hillis is a 91 not just as a running back but as blocker and I've never hardly seen a back with such ability to play wide-out.

Stats over last 2 seasons:

Arian Foster
381 car. - 1873 yds. 19 TD, 4.8 avg.

Jamaal Charles
420 car. - 2587 yds. 12 TD, 6.1 avg.

End of Debate.

Here's another little stat for ya:

Jamaal Charles over his last 20 games:

324 car. 2125 yds. 9 TD 6.55 avg.
