WWE 13 News Post

Check out 10 new WWE 13 screenshots, right here.

Last summer, one man revolutionized the current WWE landscape. In a legendary moment at the end of Monday Night Raw, WWE Superstar CM Punk – as The Voice of the Voiceless – changed everything the world knew about WWE. Through his words and actions, a new leader emerged to set a higher standard, convey a new brand of attitude and ultimately ignite a revolution among the WWE Universe. His mantra? "Best in the World."

It’s not the first time WWE has seen such rebellion. Nearly 15 years ago, the legendary "Stone Cold" Steve Austin also revolutionized the WWE realm, sparking a new generation of supporters through his relentless, antihero behavior in one of WWE’s most celebrated time periods: the Attitude Era. Why did it happen? In his words, "'Cause Stone Cold said so."

Today, a new crusade is on the horizon, and it doesn’t start with an iconic WWE Superstar on television, online or at a live event. WWE '13 is imminent, and it’s time to Live the Revolution.

THQ’s flagship WWE videogame franchise returns to provide the most authentic, seamless and passionate experience to date – all while turning up the attitude. WWE '13 will transform WWE gameplay through the introduction of WWE Live™, completely changing the way players embrace the videogame’s audio and presentation elements. Predator Technology™ returns to further implement critical gameplay improvements, while fan favorites in WWE Universe Mode and the franchise’s renowned Creation Suite are poised to offer the utmost in player freedom. Furthermore, WWE '13 will introduce a groundbreaking, single-player campaign based on the highly influential Attitude Era. Complete with a robust roster – the largest to date in the franchise – along with a host of additional features, WWE '13 is ready to live a revolution all its own.

KEY FEATURES
  • WWE LIVE™ – Experience the atmosphere, spectacle and fervor of a WWE live event through attention-grabbing Spectacular Moments, including ring breaks and barricade crashes, along with a brand new audio and presentation system designed to produce the most authentic and vibrant commentary, sound effects and crowd participation levels ever experienced in a WWE videogame
  • THE ATTITUDE IS BACK – Return to an unparalleled and groundbreaking era in WWE history – a time of pure raucousness, grandiose personalities and colossal revolution – through a franchise-first single player campaign focused on eight purveyors of attitude during the famed television "Monday Night Wars," including WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
  • WWE UNIVERSE 3.0 – Control the virtual WWE experience like never before in the popular career-style mode, as individual decisions throughout gameplay will dynamically introduce matches, alliances, rivalries and unpredictable moments along the path toward becoming a WWE Champion
  • PREDATOR TECHNOLOGY™ 2.0 – Driven by new animations, transitions and modified controls, Predator Technology returns to deliver intelligent, fluid and engaging WWE action, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience than its predecessors

Nah I will only enjoy this game if the fighting system will be like a UFC Undisputed 3.

1. They can't get everybody.

2. The roster is far from final. There are some glaring holes I see (such as the APA) that I see as must haves. While I've seen a roster that listed Mike Tyson. Really? We need Mike Tyson? Someone who never wrestled and was just a manager/ring-side figure?

I think match pacing sounds really cool. I've always wanted a feature like that. Now maybe there can be squash matches. Or the really short low card matches. Pretty cool. Then the main events and ppv matches can be "epic" type matches.
I'm also interested in how the Universe mode will work this year. I've like it in past years in how it was more of a GM mode, but the fact their turning it into a more career like mode isn't an entirely bad thing, I've always wanted a mode like that as well. The part that says "as individual decisions throughout gameplay will dynamically introduce matches, alliances, rivalries and unpredictable moments along the path toward becoming a WWE Champion" sounds particularly exciting. Hope it works well.

Sounds like Attitude Mode will be similar to the Relive.Rewrite.Resomething mode from Legends of Wrestlemania.

Oh, and specialty matches need to play much better. Money in the Bank matches are no fun when you got two CPU guys immediately scrambling for ladders and trying to set them up like they're trying to escape a burning building. Cage matches were also pretty lame because once you got worn down enough, the CPU would do a simple suplex and climb out.
Agree 100% on the selling of moves, and also I'd like to see the crowd pop more, on signature moves and finishers especially. I also agree about the specialty matches. The ladder has become completely tedious and unfun, and I really hate how the Rumble is just an endless minigame screen.

One thing I'd REALLY love to see is more customization options for the actual WWE Superstars in the game. I want to be able to do at least 4 different attires for each guy, and not just changing colors. It's crazy to me that I had to download, and waste a CAW spot on, a new Kane or Macho Man this year (I have 3 versions of Kane, I mean c'mon). It would also be cool if you could do different names, entrance themes, etc for alternate attires as well, considering that most guys wrestle under several different gimmicks or personas during a career.

I'd put my money on DX with the Outlaws being in and maybe X-Pac. Guess it depends on what parts of the Attitude era they focus on. With Steph, we might get a bit of McMahon-Helmsely era.

That would make me interested in the attitude era story. One of my favorite themes.

That is the theme I use for all my CAW's (I usually make him once a year on a seperate Universe/log-in name). I am all-in for better selling of moves. 100%.

The graphics look better 2 me

The Attitude Era stuff does nothing for me. I'd rather they just go the WCW vs WWE route.

More arenas to choose from and a deeper roster.

Well even if he doesn't have this theme music. You know you can import the music into the game and just add it. But ya I would love for HHH past music to make WWE13 since it's theme is center around attitude era this year.

I'm with you on this. However I believe the story is that WWE doesn't want people changing the character's looks so they don't allow the option for full customization of the in-game stars. We apparently were lucky to get the color changing ability we now have. The biggest problem I've always had with Superstar Threads is that we can't change the colors of entrance attires. It is so annoying to change John Cena's gear for example to keep up with his real world color changes and then he still has the original color shirt during the entrance. On top of that, I've always hated that not everybody has they're entrance attire. Edge not getting his coat for example. Or The Miz not wearing a t-shirt or coat is just horribly inaccurate. You can't brag about your presentation and being so close to WWE Tv and then pull stuff like that. I remember one year Austin didn't have his vest in his entrance. Absolutely ridiculous.

You won't get that feature this year either if the fake rosters are even partially right. They've been listing Attitude versions of Kane, Triple H, Jericho, 3 faces of Foley, etc... so another round of wasted spots. I think I am going to make that comprehensive Attitude roster list again with some free time today.
