First Set of NCAA Football 14 Cover Athlete Candidates Revealed

While 8 schools are in the running for the NCAA Football 14 cover, there are 8 more cover athletes set to join them. Some candidates were revealed today.

Michigan quarterback, Denard Robinson, Alabama running back Eddie Lacy, Ohio St. defensive lineman, John Simon and Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones have been announced as the first 4 candidates for the NCAA Football 14 cover. More athletes will be announced soon.

I could only assume Georgia's would be Jarvis Jones, Oregon's Kenjon Barner, FSU's EJ Manuel? Not too familiar with A&M other than when they played State so I have no clue there. I'm guessing Te'o would be ND's candidate? If he wins, which is unlikely because of Bama, they should just leave the cover blank; just the NCAA Football 14 logo. No athlete. I'd get a chuckle, but that's a conversation for a different thread. Would Theo Riddick be eligible? He's a senior isn't he?

A&M maybe Johnny Manziel? Unless they might all be Seniors but Eddie Lacy is a Junior so.....

It's going to be interesting to see who the cover athlete will be.. Eddie Lacy is a good candidate but 2 Bama guys within the last 2-3 years? No thank you, only the Roll Tide faithful would want that.. Te'o was a good choice til he got killed on the field and off the field by Lennay Ronaiah TuiasoIHaveNoLife&ImConfused.. So I guess well see...

then print your own cover. there's a thread devoted to nothing but custom school/ athlete covers. Ive never liked any of the recent NCAA covers, so I would always print my own. plus you get a great reaction when you trade it in. the store Ive traded all mine in to have all left my custom cover on the game for resale.

Luke Joeckel from A&M would be a good one. Probably a top 5 pick in the draft. It would be cool to see a big ugly get on the cover for a change.

probably the #1 Pick.

here's how I see it after the final 4 (Michigan, Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M) are chosen.

Denard Robinson- meh, didnt even finish his career at QB, changed position

Eddie Lacy- not really a true feature back until this year, still lost a lot of carries/ yards with Yeldon being a breakout star. did win multiple National Championships.

Kenjon Barner- along with Lacy is probably one of the final 2. Again, wasnt really a feature back until this year, still lost carries because of offensive scheme/ blowouts, but still ended up being one of the nations best RBs, snubbed for Doak Walker Award.

and whoever Texas A&M decides to put on the cover will lose votes because its not Johnny Manziel. and you'll see all the "WTF. why didnt they put Johnny Football on the cover?" posts because people are clueless to NCAA rules.
