Madden NFL 14 Release Date Set For August 27th - Madden 25?

The Madden NFL 14 release date has been set for August 27th, 2013. It will mark the 25th anniversary of the game, dating back to 1989.

On the official Madden website, it mentions more details are coming soon for Madden 25 (name change? nah... Couldn't be, could it?). Maybe we see something during Super Bowl XLVII.

Would be kind of sick if they went with numbers for Madden from now on.

I'm a fan of roman numerals, so Madden XXV wouldn't look bad at ALL on a cover.

A while back Mike Young tweeted about what kind of classic stadiums we would like to see in Madden. I wonder if that will be part of this 25th anniversary edition, classic rosters/stadiums?

Paid DLC....can't wait. Nice way to end a console generation...add in all the coolest things you can think of and charge for each piece.

They should call this Madden 25 and then next year go with Madden 14 and be in line with the correct year.

i hope they not gonna jack up the price like with other special edtions they released just because its the 25 yr the games been out its bad enough we have fork out $65 i dont wanna have pay $85 for this yrs version.

Alright enough. There are plenty of threads where where you can take shots at Madden. Every single thread in here DOES NOT need to go down the same predictable path. Warning and Infractions will be handed out from here one. Shame to be banned from OS for what you said in a thread that basically just gave you the release date. Don't let it be you.

I have a feeling this date will be a bigger deal! But, I've never been a huge fan of pushing back Madden. I always looked forward to playing Madden in the summer when I had time to play it.

Hope it will be an actual good game. Haven't played a Madden since '10 on PS2 and I want to try it on PS3
