Yeah I guess 76 would be fine, but I think it should be 73-74, because we didn't see him much because of his back injury. I'm a big-time Detroit fan (Especially of Drummond) but really it all depends on how the dynamic rosters work

Pure idiocy my friend. Enjoy your humble pie when he's ballin out again this year.

woah didn't really expect Harden to be at 89. He does deserve it though.

There's no denying he was very impressive. I'd say 76 is fair. I would even say that he's rookie season was just as impressive as Lilliard (who for all his good qualities as a player didn't play particularly good defense and shot a pretty poor percentage).
Detroit is still not a good team.

I'm not a big fan of PER or WS (more of a RAPM guy)-- I think both are terrible advance stats in fact. 20 minutes off the bench against other second units is not 36-40 minutes as a starter and I don't believe we should assume the same productivity just by doubling a player's minutes. That should be one of the last ways to justify how we rate a player. That kind of thinking is also how we end up with Jamal Crawford and JR Smth as 80 rated players capable of playing as good 40 min starters in game.

I think his advanced stats points to his potential but I don't think it's a conclusive way to rate rookies in limited minutes off the bench.

I wouldn't say Drummond's impact approaches that of Lillard's because of, again, minutes and role. It's about as big an apples vs oranges comparison as you can make. He has great upside but I wouldn't bestow him anything until he's earned it in extended minutes I'd just make sure he can do his job of blocking shots, being mobile, and rebounding.

why is james wearing under armour? isnt he with nike?

# 208 Optik @ 09/16/13 10:13 AM
Wow, they really need to get the jerseys tight-fitting the torsos for next gen. Looks like Harden has a fan running on his back.

# 209 juicey79 @ 09/16/13 10:32 AM
Harden's with Under Armour...that's awkward.

# 210 juicey79 @ 09/16/13 10:35 AM
When is the demo coming

# 211 smithdynasty @ 09/16/13 10:43 AM
Why would they put James Harden in Under Armour kicks. *Attention to Detail*

# 212 Melbournelad @ 09/16/13 10:45 AM
Is what shoe a player is wearing really that important in the grand scheme of things? I have never even noticed or cared what shoes or accessories a player has.

# 213 JasonWilliams55 @ 09/16/13 10:48 AM
I would not worry too much about the shoes in a pre-release screenshot as the roster could just have generic shoes applied to everyone. Even though I would not release a screenshot with generic shoes on all players it's still might be what it is. It could also be that they are trying to show off Under Armor shoes.

Harden > Curry?!?!?!

Is this a joke? Worst thing I've ever seen.

Can you provide statistical evidence as to why Curry is a better player?

# 216 juicey79 @ 09/16/13 12:08 PM
Harden can play pos 1-3 effectively...I wish he was a sixer, lol.
He is stronger and bigger than Curry.

Yeah, one problem is that the ratings system doesn't jive properly with the game's momentum system.

Crawford is supposedly a streaky shooter in real life (although who knows what the data actually is if anyone bothered to look at it), but in he's rated as though as if he's on a perpetual hot streak.

Then when you do get him going in a game, and momentum kicks on, he becomes an all-time-great.

Really, Crawford should play at that 80 level only when he's "hot." His baseline should be a 70-75.

Not this again lol

Overall doesn't necessarily mean better. Better can be defined in so many ways. Plus they play two different positions and the ratings mean different things depending on the position.

88 Curry better shooter than 89 Harden you can argue this. 88 Paul George is a better defender than Harden you can argue that. Better is relative. Are any of these guys better than Hibbert (81) in the post no? Overall is like a gage to tell you whether the player is good for association but you still have to look at their individual ratings.

Harden is probably the best at drawing fouls almost like a skill of drawing contact and he is the king of the euro step but he doesn't have a good mid range game, but he can get hot from deep.

# 219 bottledwaterfan25 @ 09/16/13 01:43 PM
I'd like to know exactly how they determine these overall rankings. Harden is an 89, and Paul George is an 88? I disagree. 89 for Harden sounds about right. 85-86 feels more accurate for George. But either way, I'm looking forward to the new Stats system and how it will play out when the season gets going.

Their 2013 RS or PO stats definitely prove that Harden is not better than Curry
