WWE 2K15 News Post

In a new preview posted on Polygon, it is revealed that WWE 2K15 will feature five times more animations than its predecessor WWE 2K14. With Visual Concepts adding their expertise on the project, working alongside Yukes, there is a definite push for a more polished and better presented title than in the past.

Part of that push will be thirty-five hours of new commentary in the game, with Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler recording much of that together instead of separately for a more natural sounding conversation.

With last year's game being more of an exercise in just getting a product out of the door with so many factors working against that, this year's game is more about refinements and improvements, with particular approach to how the game will look, feel, and sound.

The gameplay will be refined to feature more of a natural broadcast feel. Mark Little, WWE 2K15's executive producer, is quoted as saying that WWE 2K isn't going to be a fighting game with a wrestling feel, but he also understands a completely natural simulation of a scripted event is also tough to do.

It all sounds very intriguing and we can't wait to hear more. WWE 2K15 is launching on October 28, look for more news and our first look at the new-gen visuals and gameplay soon.

I like the comment about it not being a fighting game with a wrestling feel. That's what the game has been for a minute, so I'm eagerly awaiting a game play preview.

I just hope they are developing this game with the new WWE logo in mind. Ive read a few times on wrestling sites that after SummerSlam, the WWE will use the Network logo as their official logo.

thats definitely 2K14. For one, they are all in the attires that they had in 2K14 and two, Mark Henry's hair has been shaved long enough that they wouldn't put him in the game with dreads again.

In gameplay, [Mark] Little didn't get into specifics but laid down the game's new goal: "We're not a fighting game featuring WWE superstars."
This. This is what I want to hear.

Well more animations are always good. Can't wait to see some gameplay. Hopefully, commentary is better too.

I really hope they make the whole Arena available to the user I feel like good matches are limited when u can't go in the crowd , backstage , etc ...

# 16 Reed1417 @ 06/14/14 09:16 PM
Yeah I feel like the arena needs to be open to a lot more stuff now that we have more powerful systems to run the game on that would be great for some epic matches to take place.

Reed is comin' atcha!!

I wonder if some animations will feel different depending on the wrstlers

I wonder if true weight detection will be in game

Crowd animations would be nice too new ones atleast

# 18 Reed1417 @ 06/15/14 12:36 AM
I really hope all those things happen. I'm a huge fan of 2k because I love their basketball games so I really hope they impress me...as long as VC (virtual currency) is nowhere to be found in this game I'll be happy cause I hate it.

Reed is comin' atcha!!

Yes VC needs to stay away from WWE 2K

They need to allow us to edit the wrestlers attributes freely instead of buying an attribute editor

Paying for the Attribute Editor wasn't a 2k thing. WWE 2k14 was almost entirely a Yukes/THQ game with 2k on the cover.
