As for the shortened time problem, I have a couple of ideas to kick around:

The first is to shorten the time between picks to 12 hours. That might encourage people to

The second is to finish the draft over AIM on next Saturday at, say, 4pm CT (just throwing a time out there). Anyone who can't be there can designate a proxy at their own risk (ie if I were a proxy for someone, I probably wouldn't pick 1/2 my sleepers for them, I'd just pick them reasonable players) or submit a list. I'll need enough time to enter the picks before games start on the next Sunday and let people set their lineups so that's about the latest it can be.

The third is to just leave it as it is and assume that since people have been warned, they'll speed up. That said, if it doesn't happen in the next few days, then we'll have to go with one of the other two starting this weekend.

Everybody send SI a list for their last pick (if you're pick No. 6 send a list of six guys, etc ...), and so there's no cry of foul SI can send a list to somebody else. Give everybody until say 9:00 tonight to send their list, and at that time finish the final round by the lists and if somebody hasn't sent a list use the Yahoo list for their pick. That way the guys who check in often and are quick with their picks can still get a guy they have had stashed away for a last-round steal, but we don't have to wait for guys who are taking 8-12 hours for their picks.

Check Yahoo. If he's not in the system, you can't draft him (not have the rights to him or anything like that- you have to pick someone in the system; anyone not in the system goes through waiver procedures at Yahoo). However, if you'd like a "ceremonial" Mr Irrelevant, go for it :)
