Not to go all Survivor nerd, but was Joe's collapse the first time we've ever actually seen the crew? I can't ever remember seeing a cameraman or a boom mic show be visible in a scene before.

Do they? The last all girl alliance I can think of is when Kim won 7 seasons ago.

Definitely rooting for Spencer now. Just don't see how they didn't go the Abi route after Tasha told them of the potential girls alliance.

They didn't have the numbers. The best they could've done was make it a 4-4 tie.

They could have forced the issue, and it would have ended up with a fire making challenge, which Joe would have won, but I get why they didn't.

It wouldn't have been a fire making challenge. That only happens at Final 4. Before that, ties are resolved by drawing rocks. And they're not going to risk going home on a rock to save Joe.

Jeremy must trust Tasha. He still has one of his two idols that he found. If he didn't somewhat trust her, I'm guessing he would have played his idol on Joe.

If Wentworth takes those two the finals, she wins easily I think.

My gut based on editing (which could easily be wrong since I'm particularly great at judging edits):

Alright. Maybe they just always threaten to do it. I dunno. I don't claim an encyclopedic memory for Survivor.

I don't remember ever seeing them in the 29 or so seasons that I've seen.

Really amazing to see Joe as a competitor push him to the point where his body actually gave out.

Definitely major respect and made it sad to see him go even though I wasn't really rooting for or against him before that.

So any guesses on the "first time in 31 seasons" from the finale preview?

I'm guessing we get a vote where Jeremy and Kelly are the two targets and both play their idols, leading to the first ever 0-0 vote.

Another thought: If I'm counting right, there are now seven people in the jury, with six left in the game.

Could we be seeing a nine-person jury, and the first ever final four finale?

I was trying to remember who still had an idol. Kelly still has one?

I really hope it's not a final four. I prefer the final 2 to the final 3. It seems like when it's a final 3 there's usually only 5 survivors left going into finale night. This time there's 6. So there's that.

I think so. She had one and played it, then found a second one.

If they went with four, it would increase the odds of finally answering the question: What the hell happens if the final tribal ends in a tie?

I highly doubt it's going to be final 4. It's either all votes nullified as you guys described or a final tribal council tie.

Jeff has said if there is a tie, like 4-4-2, they would re-vote and everyone would have to pick one of the top 2. He has not said what would happen if there is a 5-5-0 tie, but it would have to be resolved immediately. (They couldn't let the TV edit influence a re-vote at the reunion.)

They are advertising 4 remaining tribal councils so that would mean a final three.

really want to see Kimmi and tasha tossed.

tasha might get the axe actually. Kimmi is such a nonthreat, nonplayer that is being dragged by her ponytails she will probably be passed up for people like jeremy/keith/Kelly/spencer. Man total lapdog all year.

spencer tho is still in the middle.
i think people are okay trusting spence unless kelly and keith somehow make a deal to oust him for turning on them.

jeremy/tasha are the far bigger threats tho.

kelly will no doubt be gunning for them

Liked the final three.

Spencer blew up his chances with his actions in that final tribal (the final tribal with a vote). All he had to say is "look at the jury, the majority have been visibly happy when things go Kelly's way, they will vote for her."

Oh, what was up with all the tears in the eyes of jury at the start of the final tribal when they walked out?

Some ideas for future seasons:

A season with all physical players; to eliminate the "that player is a threat" crap.

A one tribe season. Everyone starts out together as one tribe. Teams are selected randomly for the challenges. For the immunity challenges the losing "team" goes directly to tribal for the vote. If an odd number of players for the challenges and a player won't be selected for the reward challenge, that person also won't be selected for a team for the immunity challenge and thus is given immunity that week as he/she won't be going to tribal.

I laughed when Ciera asked about flipping. Um...you were the one trying to get them to flip to "play the game".

Yeah, that was a surprise. I felt bad for Spencer, but it's hard to compete with "I'm doing this for my family, for my kids."

Spencer's "I'm going to do everything in my power to convince the jury to vote against you" was flat out dumb, and what made the final vote unanimous IMO. As EagleFan said, he could have made the same point in a much more subtle fashion.

Abi walked up there and I thought "here we go" and then she started talking and I thought "who the hell is that?". Maybe she has a sane twin sister.

I think it's actually a great strategy that should be used more often... in private. Doing it that aggressively in front of the jury felt like a panic move.

But yeah, I'd be pulling people aside and saying "Look, just so you know, if you blindside me I'm going to make sure my jury question is about all those racist jokes you told me." And when the person says "I never told any racist jokes" I'd just lean in and whisper "But they don't know that".

The strategy is one thing, but not in front of the jury like that. He went full tilt.

Well, but if that's what Jeremy was basing his decision on, then the strategy kind of worked. It may have killed his chances at winning it all, but it got him a share of second place instead of fourth.

Did anyone get the feeling that the "0-0" vote was kind of a clustermess, even for the producers and Jeff? It seemed pretty clear that none of the players knew what the rules actually were.

It just seemed weird how it was explained. They were like "Well, does anybody want to revote? No? Nobody does? OK, in that case Keith you're completely screwed." The look on his face at that moment was classic (surpassed only by the extended scene of Jeremy trying to get his attention).

just finally watched the finale. A very sold season. Someone else mentioned it above, but it was really refreshing to see people changing up the voting rather than the long alliance grind.

also loved hiding the idols at the camp and especially in challenges. that was a great idea that I assume will continue.
