Which would be coolest if it was proven to exist?
Sidhe's Bigfoot thread got me thinking. Which one of these options would be the coolest if proven to really exist? (Choose as many as you'd like.)

Yeah, I think "A Higher Power" would win this poll by a huge amount.

Isn't the "woman who tells you what she wants and you don't have to guess" option basically the same thing...since it would require a higher power to make that happen? Last edited by Bee : 11-30-2005 at 09:54 AM. |

UFOs and extraterrestrials would be cool as i know that "A girlfriend who directly tells you what she wants rather than forcing you to guess all the time" is not possible even on dreams.

I thought putting god in with the "questionable" other items on the list would piss off folks, so I left it off.

It would piss off some folks, they would come in and explain their view on God, the other side would explain theirs, there would be Bible quotes, people would get more pissed off at each other, someone might even get banned, then everyone would see and respect the others point of view. Isn't this what always happens? (OK, except for maybe that last part) |

I don't think so. Most who would be in that camp know that they are taking the existence of said higher power on faith. They know one exists, but would have a hard time arguing that it were "proven" I think the way you worded the question would avoid potential problems. Some might even vote for that option, happy that their faith was borne out.

The last option is always the trout option -- even if it isn't official.

Ghosts was a very close second to UFO's.
Personally, it wouldn't be all that hard for me to believe a person (or the person's spirit or soul) could exist as a ghost. My problem with ghosts is that everyone that claims to have seen a ghost can tell you how the ghost was dressed. So that would mean that clothes can have ghosts too!

You know -- I was wondering about that just the other day. Really. I decided ghosts must be able to project themselves to others as they viewed themself to be.

But there just have to be a few ghosts who were exhibitionists, right? If they can choose how folks see them, then why don't at least a few appear to be naked? I know that's what I'd do. |

I'd wear my standard Levi's and some sort of a sweater with a few horizontal stripes. And I'd go back to wearing contacts. Or, if my ghost-eyes were 20/20, maybe that wouldn't be an issue.
