This was my nomination and I didnt expect her to be top 10, but I didnt expect this backlash

I also figured if Emma Stone nearly got a 70%, Ms. Dormer would get at least a 75%.

These results do kind of reveal the limitations of the system. It's not that she's not cute at times (the kinda-Krakowsi look has a certain appeal) but that's different than "hot" for most of us.

If it were a 1-10 scale kind of vote (even a celeb-scaled 1-10) I suspect she'd appear a lot more respectable than the dreg like numbers she's getting in this format.

I hadn't noticed that, but it's pretty damn cool actually. Provides a baseline for different schools of aesthetics.

I think to some, we are voting on whether the girl itself is hot, regardless of what role she had played or scene she had. I would think that most actresses, beautiful or not, can play a hot scene under the right circumstances. And anyone with a good body can show their tits and ass can probably be considered hot to some. But would either truly be considered a hot person when we are voting on the person itself? It kinda blends together doesn't it? I'm pretty lenient in my voting, and many are clear yes or no no matter what, but there have definitely been a few middle of the road cases where the fact that I have no idea who someone is (or the fact that all I know about them that they were in Entourage) tips it to a no and someone who had a role/show that I really liked or that I know more about gets tipped to a yes.

I actually like having these.. lower level hot?.. girls in the polls. Makes it so it's not like madden. 75 and up and thats that. These give the results some depth. It would suck if we had 40 90% and up results. X is 1.2% hotter then Y isn't too much fun.

I think one of the issues is that the nominees are virtually all actresses. It's not like we are comparing models, singers, athletes, actresses, and more all at the same time. Since we are comparing actress to actress, I think acting skill certainly plays into it. I'm more likely to vote hot for someone who've I've enjoyed professionally in various acting roles, even those that are not hot.

edit to add: If you could eliminate the possibility of seeing most Cuocu pics & only show a select few, she might have a chance. Unfortunately the sheer weight of meh pics is going to weigh heavily against her I think. Day on the other hand, she may have a chance to make Dormer feel better about her vote totals.

I don't really understand the Entourage thing. Who cares if they were on the show, a lot of people watched it so it's worth mentioning if they were on it. I mean just because I hate a show doesn't make me hate her hotness. But that's just me.
