Werewolf Fantasy Football League ( real fantasy football, not a WW game)

Hey all, did this last year and it was fun, except for my wife winning.

The league is totaly free and will be run through Yahoo. We will be doing a live draft probably in late August, during the week and later in the day. You don't have to be online for the draft but that is half the fun so it is recomended.

This is a great chance to play if you have never played before. It is also a great chance for spouses to play against each other ( me and MM had a great time talking shit last year)

We can do it with as few as 8 and as many as 20 teams. Once we get enough sign ups I will create the league and we will decide on a draft time.

Once the league is created I recomend everyone look over the rules in case there are any changes that want to be made that can't be dine once the draft starts.

Oh man...I just dropped out of one because I don't want more than 3...

I would like to join only if we keep it around 10, too many more than that and its just too many IMO. I will keep an eye on this thread and see

I think we had about 12 last year.

I agree about to many teams, I was guilty of doing that this year with baseball

I really would like to see just one QB, definitely NOT 3.

I think people just think that more than 12 gets to be too many for a fantasy football league. But I just realized -- I don't care if there's 16, 20, or 32. So screw the people who want to cap it at 12, I'm in no matter what!

Yeha, I just think if we have more teams we need to be more judicious in how we set lineups. For instance, we'd of course then only have 1 QB if there were 20 teams, etc.

I don't care either way, but I'd prefer to not have to dig up on every teams slot WR to get an edge.

That makes 12 teams...

I'd like to do it again, it was fun. Frustrating because I couldn't get into the draft for the first few minutes and found out it had drafted Larry Johnson for me.

*fog horn noise*

Hopefully this year I'll do a bit better.

I've honestly never done a league with more than 12, and I suppose if the rosters are set nicely, it could be fun.

Let's amp it up

PS - I wish I could have pillow talk with my wife about fantasy football *sigh*

I do have pillow talk with my wife about fantasy football, and FOF in general. She loves it when she's having trouble falling asleep, sometimes she'll ask me to do it.

I am going to post some questions later about rules, etc... so we can vote on them.

Assuming Render and I aren't pushing it too far, I would recommend we only have one starting QB this year. Having two last year really pushed things.

yeah, 1 QB and 1 RB looks like the way to go.

I am also thinking it may be fun to do individule defensive players instead of team defense

That's the way I have it in a couple other leagues. To me it's more interesting that way, but I know that requires a little more knowledge of players than some people have time to study. So it's not for everyone.

But for me, it's perfect. Okay, I want to draft Phillip Daniels first!

Definitely have to study the defensive players from last season then. I haven't a clue who really makes points on defense.

I would say 2-3 is a good number but I am rng my stance on that. There are alot of casual fans in this league so team D may be the way to go.

OK, league site is up. Here are the settings, I am going to bold the things that I think are different.

The draft is set for Tuesday 8/26 at 8:30 EST, I didn't want to make it to late for east coasters or to early for left coasters.

If you cant be at the draft that fine, you can set a list and have the computer auto draft ( allthough the draft is half the fun)

In order to join you need to join Yahoo.

the league ID is 237601
password Lynch

this URL should bring you the yahoo sports football site

I wouldn't mind seeing a flex position, although I have always liked the RB/WR better than the WR/TE.

Only one note about the scoring; why -1 point for a sack on the QB? I feel that is kind of harsh on the QB, especially when a lot of times it can be said that it was the line doing an awful job of blocking.

Plus I think we should have fractional points - less chance of ties then

Overall looks good, will be signing up right now! Hooray!

I thought the RB/WR could create an imbalance. RB tends to be a more powerfull position so the people who get 2 RB's on their team I thought would have a big advantage.

I always thought there should be another way to offset a QB's scoring other then INt's but I can change that
