Bump in case anybody missed it

PureSim for $14.95, what a great Father's Day gift

Also, I am so confident that PS has the most realistic historical player results, that I'd love to have a suggestion or two for a season you guys would like to see simmed. Maybe I could then post the results?

Or we could pick a season, and folks could choose a team and their projected record, closest prediction gets a free copy?

I will take a stab at my Cubbies. Having very little knowledge of the 1930s but let's say 92-62 finishing first and taking the NL.

Okay 1968 the year before the great Cubby collapse. I will go with Baltimore form the AL and the Cards from the NL. With the Cards winning it all in 6. My beloved Cubbies finishing 82-80 and finishing 4th.

I chose 1930 and 1968 because those are the two extremes. Your 1930 numbers (looking at league AVG, OBP, and SLG), unless they changed at the end, are low on offense across the board. It's not horrible by any means but it's off by a decent amount.

I'll be curious to see what happens with 1968.

It's 2010 all over again in 1968, The Giants Win!

Check out Marichal's dominant WS CG clincher (he was 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA in the series). I can upload the full Almanac if anyone is interested, but it takes a while.

Misc shots, team batting and pitching results

Predictions? Closest gets a free copy of the game (predict W/L record for any team from either year).

Quick PS4 question. My PS4 window overruns the monitor size on my laptop. Best way to adjust that? Option for full screen available?

The game wants at least 1024x768, but under "Options and Utilities" there is an option for "Scaled Mode" which could help depending on your laptop.

What is your desktop rez?

1366x768. It cuts off the bottom just below Wolverine Studios. I have to slide the window around to see 'A Shawn Sullivan Game'.

Maybe an issue with using another DPI than the default?

Sorry Windows allows custom "large font" settings as well as custom text sizes (DPI). I was wondering if maybe that was it.

Holy collapse Toronto! They lose 4 in a row down the stretch, while the Yanks win 4 and they give up the division. Tough to win 96 and not even make the playoffs. I guess this is why the wildcard was added...

Still playing out my 1982 Milwaukee Brewers season. Oddly one game I struck out 26 times against a fairly mediocre pitcher.

Pretty impressive finish for the 85 Royals after being just over .500 in the regular season.

Was Gorman Thomas playing all 9 positions?

Is it possible to start out in say 1900 and have the game import rookies year by year? Is this automated? Is expansion and movement automated? If not is it a PITA? I used to love doing this in OOTP 6.5 but to be honest it was kind of a PITA.

Yes, it is all automated. The only issue is you can't import the rookie to their real teams. There is an option that increases the odds but it is not a guarantee.
