I shouldn't have done that...
Now, I don't want this thread to be a "look at me" kind of thing. Really...I don't. I have just one purpose for posting this thread. I acted a fool, and I shouldn't have done that.
I know I've made some folks upset here with my ocassional unecessary over-the-top posts. I know I don't see eye-to-eye with most on political views or religious beliefs. My views on these subjects have been slightly off-center for the majority of my adult life. It's caused a handful of blow-outs with close friends, and a handful of boxings on FOFC. I also know that I've made some strong, healthy, long-time friendships with a lot of folks here. And, to my surprise, after a while, I actually missed this place. I missed the intelligent banter. I missed the witty posts at 1am that were gauranteed to make me chuckle. Heck, I even missed that stupid images thread, which I will never, ever post in again. When I originally came here, back in the old sideline days, I was only 16 years old. Within a couple years, I had a blow out under my original screen name and did something stupid. Most don't remember what happened, but I do. I took something the wrong way, and posted a nazi flag (being Jewish, I assure you I understand how idiotic this was). About 10 years later, I had another blow out. It wasn't quite as flamboyant, but it was equally stupid. I formally apologize for my stupidity. There are far better ways to get across your political viewpoints, and as I get older I'm learning to better pick and choose my battles. I know there are some that just flat out don't like me, and don't want to like me, and will think this is all a bunch of rubbish, but I swear on my wife's love that this is 100% sincere. So...thanks for reading this through. I can't promise that I'm going to conform to popular beliefs, but I can promise that I'll do much better at participating in respectful, civil discussions. I'll also reserve my once in a while idiotic blowouts for in-person ocassions. xoxo Nick |

The Raiders ARE looking good in preseason, so you never know.

Dear Erin F. I am sorry that, during college, I ran your love-note to my roommate through the fan. That was wrong of me, even if I just nicked up the edges some.

Welcome back. I think avoiding the Mass Shooting thread might be a good idea today.
Ease yourself back into things with Obama or Sandusky SI

I am sorry that when I was a teenager I took large nails and propped them against both the front and back of each tire on the car of a woman I had been seeing that stood me up for another guy.
Also sorry for that other thing I did that one time. |

No, Jon will apologize for his rant against Marc. Also, the world will end and hell will freeze over.

Everything. OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.

What's the Vegas line on how long it lasts?

While true, it would be nice to see either some fresh faces come in or some folks come back who didn't leave because of trolling bans. If one of your neighbors moved away because of your other neighbor; then your other neighbor went to prison for a few months leaving you without neighbors... would you be happier if the first neighbor came back or if the other one returned from prison? |

All kidding aside, I am big on someone being able to admit they are wrong or that they have made a mistake. I have a lot of people in my family who can't do either and it is pretty sad.
I respect you a lot for coming here and publicly admitting that you've made some mistakes. Sure, it is anonymous internet for the most part, but I think of us as a very large group of friends anyway.
