XBOX1 PS4 Kid Friendly?
We have a Wii. We are (finally) looking into a getting a new system. I have a 7 yr old and a 4 yr old boy. We are still focusing on giving them age-appropriate games. I have no problem with parents who have their 5 year old playing GTA. But that's not how we roll.
So, one option would be to get a Wii U. But I am thinking of a system that they can grow into a bit. Without getting into the XBOX-PS debate, my question is whether either of both of those systems have enough good kid-friendly games to make it worth the purchase. If their kid-friendly games are crappy and just produced so that they say they can say they have them, I'd like to know that. If, however, there are good options, I'd like to know that, too. Thanks. |

We have a PS4 and my 8-year old son like Little Big Planet 3 and the various Lego games.

You might be better off going PS3 or 360. Huge number of games. Honestly, I have PS4 and it is lacking in games.

I agree that he'd get more bang for his buck with one of the last gen consoles.

I kinda feel like this is where it's at right now considering they aren't big time gamers at their ages yet. If you have a need for a Blu Ray player, the PS3 seems like it would be a good bridge option for a few years until they hit the older ages. |

This isn't necessarily a next-gen game, as it is for the 360, but my 9-year old niece is absolutely hooked on Minecraft and her 4-year old sister loves to just sit and watch her play.

+1 Your kids have a lot of options with the last gen consoles. The games they're going to be playing are still being released for last gen and there's not that much difference between the current gen and last gen versions. |
