That's all I really care about looking at the game in retrospect. Auburn looked like a team that played 4 straight days and then had to fly to Salt Lake City in a higher elevation and play on the following Thursday. The offense was moving at a snail's pace compared to usual, but 5 games in 8 days will do that.

No excuses, though.. NMSU is a good basketball team and that was their first loss since January.. both teams did some choking of their own later in the game, but Auburn also missed a lot of free throws that would have extended the lead further. Too many could have, would have, should haves.. I'm just glad to get the win.

That may be true but Seton Hall was a younger team with lower expectations. So the conference is really taking it on the chin more with Marquette and St John’s.
