Anyway loving the career mode keep it up

FC St. Pauli
FIFA 15 - Season 1

Die Freibeuter der Liga

March 2015

FC St. Pauli 5 - Erzgebirge AUE 1
STP - Storm 6', Çiftçi 10', 80', 90', Zelalem 84'
AUE - Diring 39'
MOTM: Çiftçi

Storm dribbled to the right side of the goal and split two defenders before firing a shot inside the near post. Nöthe played Çiftçi through on goal for a first time strike to the far right post. Diring then pulled one back with a great strike from the top of the box off the right post and in. Maier attacked down the right wing and sent a cross in that found Çiftçi's head for his second of the night. Trybull chipped a ball over the back line that Zelalem was able to control and place to the far post. Çiftçi then completed his hat-trick with a great shot from the left side of the goal.

1860 Munich 1 - FC St. Pauli 1
M60 - Okotie 90'
STP - Nöthe 70' (Pen)
MOTM: Ortega

Buchtmann was taken down in the box, drawing a penalty in the 70th minute. Nöthe stepped up and calmly converted it to put St. Pauli ahead. With time running out 1860 won the ball back and pushed the counter ahead leading to a cross into the box that Okotie broke free to head home for the equalizer in the 90th minute.

FC St. Pauli 4 - FC Nuremberg 1
STP - Nöthe 39', 55', 90' (Pen), Storm 86'
FCN - Schopf 45'
MOTM: Nöthe

Nöthe had his penalty chance saved by the keeper, but was able to get to the ball first in knock it in. Schopf found an ansewr with a great curling shot from the left side of the net into the far right post. Nöthe was then able to track down a deflection off Storm's shot and tap it in for the lead. Storm used a shot fake to send two defenders past him before taking a touch inside and firing to the right post to put the match out of reach. Buchtmann then drew a penalty in the final minute that Nöthe converted calmly.

RB Leipzig 4 - FC St. Pauli 2
LEI - Rebic 22' (Pen), Boyd 57', 77', Kimmich 65'
STP - Budimir 45', Nöthe 72' (Pen)
MOTM: Boyd

Rebic converted from the penalty spot early to open the scoring. Budimir answered back after getting free from his defender and firing from the right side of the goal off the keeper and in. Boyd then scored with a left footed shot from the top of the box to give Leipzig the lead. Kimmich followed it up with a great right footed shot from distance to the far right post. Nöthe converted from the penalty spot to put St. Pauli back in it. Boyd then beat the keeper to a deflection and put the match away.

League Table

Youth Academy
Lukas Hartmann (Germany) - RB, 17 yrs old, 44-46 OVR 73-79 POT (Defensive Minded)
Niklas Lechleiter (Germany) - 15 yrs old, 49-57 OVR 76-90 POT (Attacker)
Odisseas Wolf (Germany) - 17 yrs old, 44-52 OVR 71-83 POT (Attacker)
Rouwen Beck (Germany) - CF, 16 yrs old, 43-45 OVR 65-69 POT (Winger)

St. Pauli Player of the Month

Christopher Nöthe

Christopher Nöthe was outstanding leading the attack this month. While much attention has been paid to recent addition Nadir Çiftçi, it was Nöthe who really stood out. Baggging 5 goals in 4 matches this month, his attacking presence has been laregly important as the defense continues to struggle.

Press Conference
Q: Your results were very up and down this month. You either routed the other team, or struggled heavily. What do you have to say about the current form the team is in?

A: This is two months in a row now that we have struggled defensively, and it is making a direct correlation in our results. We are dropping points that we shouldn't right now. Something needs to change, I'm not sure what yet, but I will be taking a long look at our formations and make a decision soon.

Q: You have 6 matches left in the season, how confident are you that you will keep your spot at the top of the table and be lifting the league trophy at the end of the season?

A: I don't see any other result. That is the only thing we are focused on right now. Our current form has me worried, but we are still holding our spot up there. These last 6 matches I will be taking very seriously, and I will be throwing every tactical move I have out there if I feel it will help us win.

Q: Many were concerned about the role of Christopher Nöthe after you brought in key attackers in both Nikola Storm and Nadir Çiftçi. He seems to have proven those doubts wrong as far you selecting him. How big of a role does he play for this team?

A: Christopher is our leading scorer. Just because I bring in new attackers doesn't mean that I am looking to replace him. I am looking for players to compliment him with, to help him, and to give him some rest from time to time. He is absolutely an important piece for us.

Exclamation Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Well, things are looking bad.

I've tried most things and I just can't advance to next season. I tried what you suggested, Simppu, yet it does not work.

I haven't given up just yet, if anybody does have any good ideas, please note.

If not, the next post will be the final one, sadly.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Exeter City F.C
FIFA 15 – Season 1

The Grecians

September

Capital One Cup Match:

Exeter City 2 – Leeds United 0

EXE - Reid (101’)
Regular time couldn’t separate the two teams so it goes into extra time. Ollie Watkins receives the ball and passes to Jamie Reid on the edge of the box. Jamie skips past the defender and smashes the ball into the right corner. The movement is great considering that he just recovered from an injury.

EXE - Watkins (120’)
Ribiero clears the ball from the defence as Leeds press for an equaliser. The clearance falls straight to Ollie Watkins, who finds himself in a two-on-two situation. But Watkins doesn’t need Reid and he shows his strength and pace as he gets past his marker and bursts down the wing where he cuts in and bullets the ball inside the keeper’s near post at a very narrow angle. Leeds are now officially out and Exeter City continue their amazing form.

Our best performer: Glen Mabil (Glen was crucial today and he made some amazing saves to keep out Leeds! Credit to Ollie Watkins who changed the whole course of the game when he came on)

SkyBet League 1 Match:

Rotherham United 1 – Exeter City 2

EXE Sinclair (15’)
Rotherham lose possession from an Eastmond tackle and the ball rolls to Albian Ajeti on the edge of the box who lofts the ball over the defenders to Sinclair. The goalkeeper runs out but Sinclair dives and heads the ball past the keeper.

ROT –Frecklington (50’)
Ryan Hall receives the ball in the middle and passes to Lee Frecklington who hits the ball through the legs of the sliding Ryan Inniss and past the goalkeeper. The shot was only a little to the right of Mabil but for some reason, his dive for the ball was not good. Mabil should have saved it.

EXE –Flannigan (81’)
Cowan-Hall takes a corner from the right. He whips the ball into the box. Jake Flannigan makes a run from the edge of the penalty area to head home.

SkyBet League 1 Match:

Exeter City 2 – Oxford United 0

EXE Ajeti (10’)Jamie Reid gets a free kick on the right. He whips the ball into the back post where Albian Ajeti rises above everyone to nod home.

EXE Reid (62’)
Ajeti lifts the ball over the defence and onto the boot of Jamie Reid who hits it first time and the ball dips at the last moment for the ball to go into the top corner.

Our Best Performer: Albian Ajeti

SkyBet League 1 Match:

MK Dons 3 – Exeter City 4

MKD Louisy-Daniel (7’)
Ben Reeves breaks down the right and delivers a cross into the sliding Louisy-Daniel who gets his toes to it to poke the ball into the net.

EXE – Sinclair (13’)
Liam Sercombe skips past his marker in the midfield and slots the ball into the path of Jake Sinclair who slips the ball under the goalkeeper and past the line.

EXE – Ajeti (30’)
Jake Sinclair dummies on the left and pretends to cut in. He uses his pace to run past the defender and further down the wing. He whips the ball into the unmarked, Albian Ajeti, who nods the ball into the far corner to put Exeter City into the lead.

EXE –Sinclair (33’)
Only three minutes after the previous goal, Appiah bombs down the right where he gets away from a slide tackle to just keep the ball in play. He then lifts the ball over to the back post where Jake Sinclair is unmarked again and easily nods home. Can MK Dons get a grip before it is too late?

EXE – Ajeti (49’)
The half-time break doesn’t seem to give MK Dons a lift and a bad touch from Dons keeper, David Martin, rolls straight to Albian Ajeti who flicks the ball past the desperate goalkeeper and he manages to finish coolly from a tight angle and on the half turn. MK Dons look like they’re out of the game now...

MKD –Reeves (54’)
Ben Reeves dispossesses Jordan Moore-Taylor and finds himself through on goal. Reeves lifts the ball over the rushing goalkeeper and into the net. Could they come back into this?

MKD – Louisy-Daniel (63’)
The new signing for MK Dons puts them back into the game. Awful defending by Ribeiro leaves Ben Reeves on the left who can slot the ball into Louisy-Daniel who hits the crossbar but the ball creeps across the line.

Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah (He was amazing today. He made the most runs, the most successful passes and the most successful crosses and he also got an assist.)

SkyBet League 1 Match:

Exeter City 1 – Yeovil Town 0

EXE Jay (25’)
Bee decides to play a different team in preparation for the cup tie against Stoke. Eastmond wins the ball in the midfield and drifts to the right wing where he delivers a low cross into the box. Jay manages to poke the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net. Jay’s first game of the season and he has already scored.

Our Best Performer: Jordan Moore-Taylor

Capital One Cup Match:

Stoke 3 – Exeter City 4

STO Shawcross (RED) (33’)
Albian Ajeti receives the ball on the half-way line and attacks on the break. Ajeti busts a gut getting into the box where he tries to shoot but Ryan Shawcross cynically slides in and gets the player before he could shoot. Shawcross gets a red and marches of the pitch. The challenge is in the area but for some reason, the referee decides it is a free-kick. An awful decision by the referee there!

EXE –Ajeti (36’)
Three minutes after the red card and Exeter City get the first goal of the game. Reid sprints down the left where he manages to cut inside and pass to the unmarked Ajeti in the middle of the box. He takes a touch which allows him to spin around and he then just slots the ball into the bottom of the far corner with his weaker left foot. Stoke look wounded without Shawcross and there was way too much space in the box for Ajeti.

STO –Diouf (69’)
Stoke go big and bring on Mame Diouf and he manages to get the equaliser. Steven Ireland skips past a challenge by Inniss and then manages to slot the ball into Diouf who just flicks the ball around the keeper and into the net.

STO –Diouf (71’)
A clearance falls all the way to Diouf who finds himself through on goal. He puts the ball past the goalkeeper’s outstretched leg and into the bottom corner. Bee is outraged because Diouf trips Jordan Moore-Taylor to make him through on goal.

EXE – Watkins (75’)
Eastmond makes a crunching tackle but a fair one to win the ball in the midfield. The ball rolls to Cowan-Hall who wastes no time slotting the ball into Watkins who coolly puts the ball past Butland and into left corner. It will be a great moment to remember for Ollie.

EXE Sinclair (99’)
The game goes into extra time and Sinclair manages to roll the ball over the line at the back post after a lovely ball from Appiah from the left. So many chances have been missed for both teams and the score line could easily be four – four.

STO –Arnautovic (104’)
Marc Wilson boots the ball up field to Arnautovic who takes a touch to fool Moore-Taylor and manages to slip the ball into the near corner. Bad defending by Moore-Taylor...

EXE – Sinclair (113’)
Cowan-Hall whips the ball into the box where the unmarked, Jake Sinclair, chests the ball in the air and then hits the ball on the volley into the bottom right corner. That goal was a great display of technique and skill and it finishes the game off. Surely if Ryan Shawcross was on the field, it would have been different...

Our Best Performer: Paris Cowan-Hall (It was an extremely difficult decision between Cowan-Hall and Sinclair but I choose Paris because he was always threatening with his pace and found himself behind the defenders numerous times. He also got two assists.)

SkyBet League 1 Match:

Blackpool 1 – Exeter City 3

EXE – Östlin (OG) (13’)
Sercombe collects the ball on the half-way line and drifts to the left where he gets past the defender and delivers a ball into the near post. Rikard Ostlin dives out in front of his own goalkeeper and tries to take a touch but spills it, allowing the ball to roll over the line. If he had just left that then it wouldn’t have been a goal.

EXE –Watkins (19’)
Ollie Watkins starts over the tired Jake Sinclair and it works well! After great link-up play on the half-way line, Ajeti sprints into the box to pull the ball back to Watkins who slots the ball home.

BLA –Joan Oriol (38’)
Steven Davies skips past a challenge in the area on the left and pulls the ball back to Joan Oriol who just hits the ball into the empty net.

EXE –Watkins (45’)
A clearance from the Blackpool goalkeeper is headed by six foot five Ryan Inniss, which goes to Ajeti who easily spots the run of Watkins and he finds himself through on goal. He nudges the ball to the right and then slips the ball under the goalkeeper and into the net.

BLK –Mellis (Two Yellows) (64’)
Jacob Mellis’ first yellow was in the ninth minute for a silly outstretched leg on Liam Sercombe. His second was on Eastmond just outside the box. Craig was about to shoot and Mellis slides in recklessly and doesn’t get the ball.

Our Best Performer: Ollie Watkins

SkyBet League 1 Match:

Exeter City 3 – Peterborough 1

EXE – Sinclair (23’)
Grimes passes to Jake Sinclair who uses his pace to get away from the defender and then he manages to squeeze the ball past the goalkeeper and into the corner.

PET Washington (24’)
Kane Ferdinand receives the ball on the left and quickly lifts the ball over Jordan Moore-Taylor and into the path of Conor Washington who hits it first time with his weaker foot past Mabil and into the bottom right corner.

EXE – Grimes (26’)
In three minutes, there have been three goals! Appiah uses his pace to get past the right back and run into the box where he finds the unmarked Matthew Grimes at the back post who nods the ball home easily.

EXE –Appiah (73’)
Appiah switches to the right wing where he receives the ball from Ribiero. The last fifteen minutes have been relentless attacks from Exeter City and finally they score. Appiah drifts into the middle where he shoots with his weaker left foot. It takes a slight deflection and goes into the left corner of the goal.

Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah (He has been really doing well now!)

Exeter City’s Player of the Month:
Kwabena Appiah

Press Conference:

Q: Your form at the moment is amazing! It’s similar to your start last year. Do you think you can keep it going?

A: Hopefully, we will be able to maintain our form. Obviously, form won’t always be high and I want to make sure that when we have a dip in form that we are still getting points.

Q: Kwabena Appiah has had a massive impact on the team. What do see in his future at the club?

A: If he keeps performing the way he does, then he’ll have a slot in the team and he’ll get plenty of play time which will also allow him to hone his skills even more.

Q: There was a recent news column on the club website that said that you have been getting a lot of offers from International teams. What offers have you received and will you be accepting any?

A: Yes, I have had a few but none of them I accepted. I only have a couple of nations that I would actually like to go to but unfortunately I have not had an offer from them.

Man, so sorry to hear about the game crashing. I remember FIFA 13 used to have a big problem with that. I wish I knew a trick to suggest, but I can't think of anything. If I hear of anything I'll let you know though.

The world cup is a big factor, plus it's only 1 more year and then you can either move back to Verona or somewhere else.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

TOON TO THE TOP
SEASON 2
PS4

League Cup Quarter Final

Newcastle 4-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Delph 15
Bony 27
Barkley 50
Dzsudzsak 71
Lavery 87 (PEN)

Simmed.

Match 15

Newcastle 3-0 Swansea
Oliviera 52
Barkley 58
Oliveira 90 (PEN)

This was a good game and Oliveira opened the scoring with a contender for goal of the season. The ball came to him and he curled it into the top corner from outside the box in incredible fashion. He then turned provider, putting the ball across to the far post for Barkley to knock in. Oliveira then put away a penalty after Riviere was fouled to seal the victory.

Champions League Match 6

Ajax 1-0 Newcastle
Schone 45
We were dominated in this match. We had no shots on target, their defence was so good. There was nothing we could do to break them down. Ronnie was trying his magic, not working, Bony was trying the power, not working. Nothing happened and the only goal was curled in after an excellent one-two that tore apart our defence.

Match 16

Newcastle 1-2 Norwich
Oliveira 28
Bennett 44
Lafferty 57

This was an atrocity. Even with our B team, we can't afford to be losing to relegation candidates. Oliveira gave us the lead after a bright start, curling into the bottom corner but Bennett equalised, heading in from a corner. Lafferty gave Norwich the lead, smashing past Alnwick and the Canaries held on for the win.

Match 17

Chelsea 1-2 Newcastle
Higuain 45
Barkley 52
Bony 90

The most important match so far. Chelsea, 2 points ahead of us going into this game, took the lead on the stroke of half time, Higuain curling in. A deserved lead after Willain had stroked wide and Begovic had made a string of excellent saves. Barkley equalised for us, collecting the ball on the right from a throw in, cutting inside, beating his man with a roulette before knocking into the bottom corner. The rest of the match was a hard fought battle, but on the last attack of the game, Bony beat his man and curled into the far corner to give us the 3 points and put us back on top of the league.

Match 18

Watford 0-2 Newcastle
Barkley 12
Bony 53

Barkley gave us the lead in this match, knocking in from close range after a low ball in. Bony made it 2, smashing into the top corner before the Watford keeper made a series of great saves denying Delph, Kampl and Bony to stop the result becoming embarrassing.

Match 19

Newcastle 2-3 Liverpool
Medel 18 (OG)
Enrique 59
Bony 67 (PEN)
Sterling 75
Kampl 90

The start of a tough run of fixtures and it began awfully. A ball into the box was ready to be dealt with by Toure easily, but Medel rushed in to try and win the header, didn't connect properly and ended up flicking it over Begovic into his own net. Enrique then made it 2, heading in from Skrtel's cross after a short corner. Bony pulled one back from the spot after Dzsudzsak was brought down by Skrtel. However, Sterling raced clear to smash into the the top corner and regain the 2 goal lead. Kampl smashed into the top corner excellently after a clever body feint and Jones made an excellent save to deny Delph right at the death.

Transfer Rumours
Inspired by Indiblue

So, it's that time of year where the transfers start rolling for naturally higher prices. No-one wants to lose their star player midway through the season while battlers for trophies or survival frantically pay over the odds to get their man who they think can add to their team. Our focus is on Newcastle United and their number one target is West Ham United defender Winston Reid. The centre back is hotly coveted as one of the best defenders in the Premier League, hailing from New Zealand, the 6'3" man is the target of title rivals Newcastle and Arsenal, along with teams from abroad announcing their interest including Athletic Bilbao and Eintracht Frankfurt. Jamie has been looking for the chance to strengthen his defence with captain Kolo Toure losing pace by the day and Virgil being unable to step up to the plate.

Next up is a contingent of wingers from across Europe to add depth, starting with Marseille and France star Dmitri Payet. The pacey winger can play on both sides and up front and is known for his long range efforts and his excellent passing. Another winger is obscure midfielder Tunay Torun of Kasimpasa SK. Probably to add depth in the reserves, the fast, agile midfielder is said to be magic with the ball at his feet and has finished top of the assist tables in Turkey in previous seasons. The final winger under consideration is Basel star Shkelsen Gashi. Once again a reserve option, the midfielder is better known for his finishing and aggression than his speed and passing. Probably a last choice midfielder.

A few strikers are under the Magpies radar as well, including strong, pacey Basel and Cameroon forward Breel Donald Embolo. The 18 year old is a hot prospect in Switzerland and a move to England may benefit him in the long run. Heading master and Finland forward for FC Thun Berat Sadik could be in for a dream move to England as well. Seen as an average player who works hard, the striker would probably have never dreamt of a move from a midtable Swiss side to a BPL title challenger, especially at his age. It's not a move the fans want to happen however.

2 hot prospects have been the names on everyones lips though. Lyon and France striker Alexandre Lacazette and Valencia and Argentina midfielder Enzo Perez. Lacazette is one of the best players in Ligue 1 and finished as top scorer last season thanks to his incredible pace and finishing. Enzo however, sits deep in the playmaker role but is fast approaching 30.

Player of the Month
Inspired by Texasbum06 and Simppu12

Ross Barkley

Finally! He finally got going this month, contributing to goals in all of his games. All of his goals have been right place at the right time, apart from one which was a display of his incredible skill which he has been showing off more and more recently.

League Table

2. Newcastle 39

Hey, I had the same problem, when the new season is loading, press the button to stop it and then continue, do it like every 20 seconds, I know it sounds weird but It worked, sometimes this won't work so you'll have to do it a lot of times.
