Should I buy the game now?

After 7 patches and the addition of ragdoll, I'm really tempted to buy the game!

But I really wanna hear from you guys:

Can you say it's a solid game overall this time around? Is it worth buying?

Yeah it is imo. Watch some streams or vids and see if you think its good.

Stamina is in a good place
Pressure is not as bad
Subs are good again
Ragdolls are back
New block and calf kicks
New modes
Bug and ai fixes
+ improvements from previous patch and launch like TDs, clinch, new animations etc.

It's easily better than ufc 3 at this point imo.

My opinion is a little bit biased but I think you should. Besides I have heard the game has the smartest, best looking and most modest developers in the entire industry.

Did you play UFC 3? If yes then definitely worth a buy now especially if you get it on sale. The latest patch has put it in the best state it's been in so far (leg kicks are actually effective now, spammy body shots aren't as bad, some bad animations have been fixed, etc) But if you've never played an EA UFC game be warned that there is a very steep learning curve hah. If you're ready for that challenge that go for it. Lot of great tutorials on youtube.

So short answer, yes. It is worth it to buy.

NO. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME unless you can get it for like $10. The patch has arguably made the game worse. Head movement is pretty much useless, striking is a mess, ground game is a mess. This is not an MMA game. This is just bad.

Cool! It does seem a solid game now! I’ve been watching martial gameplay, and I really liked what I saw!

Hahhaha sure! Guess Im gonna buy it after all, but I will wait a little longer, since only the deluxe version is on sale... and it’s still pretty expensive in brazil

no i do not recommend buying this game except if you like unrealistic dragon ball z combo or any fighters that smells like ernesto hoost or anthony pettis with a completely failed submission system and fake transitions unblockable ground if you like its yes buy it if you like a simulation of mma don't buy it

If you had trouble with the ground game in UFC 3 you can try out the grapple assist in UFC 4. Just tell it what you want to do (submit, getup, ground and pound) and it will find a transition to take you towards that goal.

If you want to learn the ground game better or still want to use the original ground mechanic in cases where you know your options you can use the hybrid system which displays the legacy HUD. This way you can use legacy inputs when you feel comfortable or assist inputs when you need some help. This way when you use the assist inputs the legacy HUD will show you the underlying transitions the assist system chose for you.

This patch made the game much better and balanced !!

By the way, the new patch 7.01 is here right now in Ps4, what has changed or implemented? Is there any information??

No, i don't know what these guys are talking about but the patch just made this game dog crap. head movement is now too risky against a good opponent, leg kicks are way overpowered. Now it is just a stand up straight at distance and trade head combo into leg kicks ad nauseam. It is hot garbage imo. If you want to pretend to play legit with a friend than it is probably fun but if you try and compete online it is just an exploit fest against any decent player.
