Welcome Battman. DLC can be downloaded using the right strategies But no, most of it is not necessary.

I havme to admit I've had some fun, close to ofline, online games before. Not this year, though but I wanna give it some time to be able to make a real judgement.

I also have an US PSN account. But I cannot use my creditcard with this account. If there is a way, pls tell me (PM).
I am perfectly willing to pay extra bucks for this game. And I think it is pathetic that some obscure reasons hinder me to do that.

Speaking of online gaming. I tried it once with a friend who lives 20km away. Even then the connection was far from perfect. I tried to play against people from the US and it did not make any sense. I guess my opponents had a far better connect than me, because they never understood why I quit these matches. And as I don't want to be called a quitter and other very unfriendly names I stopped playing online with MLB 10.

Just to be slightly off topic, where are all the cutscenes?

Im not joking. In previous years they used to;

- introduce all the umpires
- show close-ups inside and outside the stadiums
- have 7th inning stretch
- raking the field around 4th/5th innings

As much as I love the broadcast, all I am seeing is pitcher and batter camera cuts. Have all the above been taken out? I am not hovering over X and have played 3 full games with no skipping at all.

Any ideas? Maybe im unlucky. Has any seen the above?

Yes, they work fine.

That maybe because i redeemed my online pass while logged in under a US PSN account, but it all works fine now on my UK account too.

Rod maybe knows more?

Definitely seen the raking cutscene.

Not sure I'm liking how long it takes for replays to kick in though. I get impatient and press X too soon, so I've not seen many.

I think they've took some out, as yet I've not seen any umpire intros, or field dimensions yet...which is disappointing, especially the umps.

I've cancelled my PA order for 2k12 and gone back to VG+ with standard delivery. PA said the game wasn't yet out and were having trouble sourcing it - yeah, thanks for that.

sure. You just need to create a US-account to download your online pass in the US-Store. Afterwards you can play with your usual account. As far as I know the classic stadium pack still doesn't work with European accounts so yeah, we're still a bit screwed but everything else should work on non-US-accounts.

Most people usually order at VG+ or Planetaxel every year. Some people actually bought their copies in England this year but I think they never mentioned where exactly they got it from.

I wish the umpire intros was still in, especially with the new guys...good to hear about the dimensions too....

Going back to 2k12 - just interested in seeing this, especially from the commentary point of view. The Show will always be my game, but curious about 2k12...just gone with normal delivery from VG+...should have ordered it days ago instead of waiting for PA to update me.

Thanks guys, I feel like all I see is batter and pitcher cuts but nothing else. Very strange. I dont know what they big fuss about 'True Broadcast'. At the moment I am not disappointed, but slightly underwhelmed.

In previous years there seemed like more was going on in and around the game. Played as the Phillies yesterday and only saw the mascot once. Then he disappeared off the home bench.

If anyone sees anything please let me know as I thought something was turned off in the menu but its not.

How do you make the game play out cutscenes like the mascot playing with fans? Do you pause the game and leave it of do you press the select button when on the mound. You used to see loads of cool stuff by not playing.
