    Modeling issues for some players

This year, the body type and uniform fit has changed
    Most are good,
But as an example of the photo, many players have bad body shapes

Perhaps, their body template is very limited
And it does not express 'especially' muscular body types or big guy body types, slim and athletic types

But since they are creators who handle development tools
They can make MLB players' body types that users cannot modify a little more carefully

But this is not going to be done because it doesn't make money.

Check out Jacob Wilson for the A's. He has a giant head and a skinny, tiny body and I can't get past it.

Yes, for as good as many DO look, there are some glaring issues. Big heads, man boobs (if Paul Goldschmidt) is your favorite player (and there are others), it’s a real distraction. I’m not quite sure how these get by the testers, or perhaps there’s just no real fix????

Then you've got Jaren Duran. Dude really could stand to skip leg day once in a while.

Nestor Cortes literally looks like the Brewers barrel man logo on his jersey

Hit them up on social media or their website feedback form. Obviously no guarantee any of them get adjusted but making them aware of them is the least we can do.

Nobody's going to look perfect, but with the majority of players looking fine I can see how a few weird ones here and there could slip thru.

Understood, but there’s more than a few.

I’m hoping it’s just the first step of graphical improvements for next years game. A ton of the players look horrible. Especially when they’re in their batting stance. But I’ve written it off as, “hopeful.” Hopeful that this was just the first step in better player modeling on the current gen of consoles next year…finally. We’ve seen the same graphics for over a decade. Surely next year is the year we get an upgrade, right………right?

I’d say probably not. This year we’ve seen some differences in body types, but then you have glaring deficiencies in other areas, the head sizes, man boobs, huge squared shoulders on heavy guys. Can you imagine the complaints if it was Ohtani and Judge with huge heads instead of Nick Fortes and Max Meyer?

The game on my set up is absolutely stunning looking (stadiums/lighting/scanned faces)but SDS does just enough to make you go “oof!”with the player models, and it’s a mystery. They get everything else right, imho, and fall way short in this area.

The giant heads on small bodies has been a thing for years I feel like. The barrel chested thing seems like it was a thing years ago but had kind of went away but has returned this year. The weird looking bigger guys is new to this year. I don't ever remember them looking this weird in the past. The man boobs is new this year as well. Most of them do look a lot better this year, but others just make me face palm. I absolutely hate having Goldschmidt on my team just because of the way he looks. The only thing that makes me tolerate it is that he's been an RBI machine for me so far.

It seems those man boobs are more prevalent when they wear the white jerseys. When I saw Goldy I thought, ‘oh, boy. Here come the yankee fans”, but then I hate the Yankees so was alright with it.

Which is weird, because some of them actually look good. They have struggled to get “fat” guys right for years, but Diego Castillo on the Rockies looks on point. But the more skinny or in between skinny and buff guys just look weird

What Goldy needs is an all-cotton mansierre.

Last year I thought there were a few players that looked a little too skinny but I don't remember any that looked odd like some this year.

I think I would take last year in this area of the game.

I’ve said for years, I’m fairly confident there’s no “body” under the uniform. You can always tell by looking up the sleeves. The arms just disappear into the upper sleeve and it morphs into a thick jersey that essentially becomes the player model. It’s lazy game design. Create body types, layer the uniform on top. Would allow much better uniform deformation and realism.
