It doesn’t matter that the assets already “exist”. By removing them you also remove the memory it takes to have them on disk, as well as any rendering data required to have them animate on your screen. It’s a resource. Maybe they were able to add something else they felt was more crucial by removing it. I could be wrong. In my mind I have to believe there is more of a reason for removing it other than “eh, just take it out. No biggie”.

Do you really believe a new option screen is that much work? Admittedly my knowledge of game development is zero, but this doesn’t add up to me

I didn't see this attitude. Saw more than a couple posts asking if bullpen guys came in already warmed up, and a bunch of people discussing what bullpen arms they've had success with though.

I actually didn't see anyone complaining about having to use their bullpen altogether, but with so many people playing the game I'm sure there's at least one guy out there, so I'll give you that one?

We can just say SDS made a weird UI design call here without trying to find a DD angle to it.
How often do you check Reddit? I get that you guys want to come here and chew down anyone who is even remotely critical of this game, but the fact of the matter is no one over on Reddit is complaining that the bullpen warm up animations are gone. And if they are, they are in such a vocal minority that I haven’t seen it, and I check Reddit daily. I only see this complaint here on OS. Look I agree with you guys. I like the old bullpen warm up screams. But just thinking they made some design mistake by removing it without thinking about the long term consequences makes zero sense to me. I feel it was a conscious decision. But then again, that’s just like…. My opinion…. Man

I check the MLBTheShow Reddit...I'd say regularly? Not every day but a few times a week. I'm not a head-to-head player and I don't care about completing every collection or fielding an "ideal" lineup, so a lot of the discussion there doesn't interest me. That being said, I like to check everywhere (OS, TheShow forums, Reddit, Twitter, etc) to get a better idea of how the game is as a whole.

You made a very specific claim: that guys hate using their bullpen at all. Since I'd never, ever, not even once seen that as a complaint for any version of The Show I went to look it up and couldn't find anything. Now you're moving the point to people being against any criticism because I didn't see anyone who did what you claimed. Come on, man.
