Stupid rules ..

While Im not against the runner on second during extra innings.. I think the most idiotic rule in MLB is the 3 batter minimum for relief pitchers. If I can choose having the runner on second in extra innings before I start my Franchise, then why can't I choose to have the 3 batter min on or off?
This should be an option as well .

I still play MLBTS19 because of this.
I have finally come to terms with all the new rules and now dont mind playing with them in The Show but IRL MLB the one thing new I still hate and refuse to accept isnt a rule, its those stupid city connect uni's. Other than Boston,they are all garbage IMO.
The Yankees have the right idea.

Banning the shift was the most egregious, IMO

Probably better for the game though, wasn't hard to make a great living getting cheap doubles to L/R field

Moving a middle fielder one or two steps on either side of 2nd base isn't really banning the shift,is it?

I think I like Boston's city connect because it reminds me of the Boston Marathon.

The reason I didnt want a universal DH is because I wanted a real difference between the two leagues.
If they could give us one more rule we could opt in/out on , it would be the 3 batter minimum rule.
If I could get rid of one rule IRL MLB, I dont know that I could decide between the universal DH and the auto runner in extra innings. Probably the auto runner.

The extra inning ghost runner I don’t like in real life but I like it for the Show. I don’t want to be playing 20 inning games when I play the Show.

The extra inning ghost runner I don’t like in real life but I like it for the Show. I don’t want to be playing 20 inning games when I play the Show.

If I reach extra innings I usually just end up simming it most of the time. The Show still doesn't give the win/loss to to the correct pitcher in Extra Innings.

The way around that is you have to have a new pitcher "scheduled to come into the game" prior to starting extra innings because the guy who starts on the bump is charged with the ghost runner to begin the inning. So if you know you are changing the pitcher before a pitch is thrown in extra innings...schedule him to come in prior to the inning starting.

Its the principle of it for me.

Whats next? If we were to see a dramatic drop in homers, are we going to let hitters use corked bats?

This happened in real life though. That’s why they lowered the mounds and when it happened again, they let guys take steroids.

The rules of baseball have always changed since the sport was invented to keep up with modern times. It’s just the nature of the sport.

I don't like the three batter rule at all IRL. Takes so much management out of the game from the manager. In the game I like it cause it helps keep it fair. The CPU never mound visits and before the rule, they wouldn't match up bullpens arms to batters like the user will. It helped with bullpen management and usage a little bit before this year when they fixed it. I'd love to know how the cpu would do without the three batter rule now with the bullpen setup and usage fixed.
