Because The Show has A LOT more resources devoted to smaller minute details that NCAA and Tiger doesn't. Dynamic weather involves a bit of code I'd imagine. And when you have the code going for the stellar graphics, the small details of what players really do, and other things involved in the baseball stadium, it's hard to include dynamic weather in the code with only 512 MB of memory available. Tiger and NCAA 1) graphics aren't that good 2) gameplay isn't even the same league as the Show, and 3) The crowds are a lot more involved in the Show than those games. Again, with only 512 MBs of memory in the PS3, there's only so much you can do before you hit the limit. (That's why Russell even said in the reveal in November "There's so much more we can do now that we couldn't do on the PS3"). With the power and memory of the PS4 now, there's gonna be A LOT of improvements to all areas of the game for years to come.

Re: Weather
Exactly, SYSTEM POWER. The PS3 couldn't handle rain outs and extra memory for closing domes and such. NOW they can with the PS4, BUT they wanted to focus on basics and fundamentals with the first iteration of a new console to get it right. By 15, domes will be in, weather hopefully will be more integrated, and they'll work on it from there. case in point, MLB 13 compared to 07/08 was bounds ahead. Graphics were as good as you were gonna get, gameplay was outstanding, and atmosphere was great. FOR WHAT IT CAN DO. Guaranteed, by MLB 17/18 on PS4, the progress made compared to now, is gonna be redunkulous. lol.
Don't be too optimistic. SCEA has NO INTEREST in bringing dynamic weather to The Show. They have already said that year after year thus is why we will never see if from them. They have no interest in putting their resources into it since the masses are really not asking for it. Most don't want rain delays or rain outs so they won't even bother adding it for the few of us that ask for it every year.Comment

Re: Weather
I can see this considering that baseball isn't really played in the rain, a small drizzle they will, but overall no. I guess hence, rain doesn't belong in the Show. Honestly, I kinda like how it is now. (The only dynamic part I'd like is if it came and went or wasn't there and started mid game). BUT the way it's portrayed now, is correct... to me anyways.
If anything, I would like to see the wind changing direction to make it more variable so that it affects how the ball reacts. Toss in cloud cover and the sun coming out would be a nice addition.Comment

Re: Weather
Not really. They keep the roof closed May-September for it being way too hot and monsoon season. With the roof closed it 70 degrees inside.Comment

Re: Weather
Again, back to what i said earlier, Rain to me, is depicted properly in the Show considering it's a baseball game. I dont understand why people want rainouts and such, I play a game in order to PLAY THE GAME, NOT play FOUR or FIVE innings, then have the game end and the cpu say rain out. I dont get people; really.Comment

Re: Weather
The best of all worlds is the approach SCEA has historically already taken...make it an option.
If you want rain and "weather" in your games, turn the option on. Simple. Now, coding and creating the graphics for weather is no simple task. However, weather always has, and always will, play a part in baseball. It causes fielders and runners to slip, slow down...it causes pitchers to not be as accurate. It causes delays and cancelled games which means the manager must make some strategic decisions on his rotation and on field players, etc.
It is an important part of the game. I understand why SCEA has not done it yet...they want to do it correctly if they do it at all. And now that we have the PS4, that is possible. However, that does not mean they will see fit to included it in the game.
I think they should...as an option.
