I was just going to say that it's probably not high on the priority list, but this is the 1st cycle on the new system. I'm sure in time we will get more than 1 uniform template weather it be next year or the year after. I understand your frustration and others frustrations as well, hell there are things that frustrate me too (no retractable roofs), but what can you do? Just have to deal with it for now and wait it out. I'd expect uniforms and other things to change in the future weather it all starts next year or not.

The point I'm trying to make is that, for most people, SCEA has taken care of all of the "must-haves" in a baseball game, such as the gameplay and depth of game modes. This leads fans of the series to wish for much smaller ideas to make the game better, things that aren't even discussed in other games because there's too much to correct in the first place.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
That's terrible news. Will full fan catching be added next year? I always wanted this feature in a game. Makes the realism go to the next level. Now we got awesome looking crowds with the ball going through people, it's not going to look right. I hope this is addedComment

Shame you can't post about a concern you have of the game without being attacked for it.
And then when you respond to the attacks, you're called a "troll," perfect logic there. I don't care anyways, just interesting.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
I caught one foul ball in my life when I was stationed in San Diego, Padres vs Giants. The pitcher who threw the pitch was Juan Marichal. The first baseman who came over to the railing and saw me catch the ball, about 5 rows from the field, Willie McCovey.
That's right, I'm bad.≡Comment

Your getting the wrong kind of attention here, do yourself a favor and just let it go. If it doesn't matter to you why do you continue to post about it , if you need the last word you are going about it the wrong way. When you come to a fork in the road, take it..... Yogi Berra

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
I saw that too. This is the last comment from me on this and then I'll let it go.
They do some incredible things on this game that takes a mountain of time and resources. I get that. This may be another. I'm just saying that if they wanted to get it fixed and if they thought it was important enough to spend the time and resources then they would just like all the other great thing they've done. It's clear to me they just don't think it's important enough to get it right.
We want to get everything right. :-). Unfortunately (or fortunately as far as being employed is a concern), there are many things, along with this one, that can be addressed. I'm not sure where this particular issue lies in the priority list, but it's on there."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
How does your development team decide which feature has priority over the other? Do you have like a big white board with a list of all the things that need to be done and do all the developers take a vote on what features they would most like to get into the next version of MLB The Show?
You guys should do a video PS blog called "A day in the life at San Diego Studios" as I bet we all would love to get an idea of what it's like to work on the MLB The Show teamlol

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
The team has added new ballpark features off of concept images before. Just last year, the Rangers added onto their batter's eye. Concept images were posted and the extension made it into 13.
Unless somebody comes in here and flat out says it's not in, which I'd be all for, then don't count it out until we have proof.Last edited by sydrogerdavid; 03-22-2014, 11:50 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
PS3 to PS4 Visual differences.
These helped in the past when they showed the model difference in the very first video. I thought it'd be cool to do it for the more recent screenshots.
The only adjustment I made was to make the DOF more prominent to match the PS4. No color correction or other adjustments were made. This is more as an illustration for model differences and lighting.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
I think it has been said once that Sony will only put in a new feature when they feel it is 100% ready and not any early. Which is a good thing because when they do finally put in crowds being able to catch Home Runs and also catching and picking up foul balls off the field I know it will be done right and not some half *** attempt like other companies sometimes seem to do.
I was looking forward to seeing this feature so hopefully it will be ready in time for MLB 15 The Show which is only 12 months awaylol

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
I think the biggest thing to note here is how the crowd is properly spaced out on PS4. In the PS3 version, some parts of the crowd just aren't close enough like in real life. It gives a weird look to the overall feel of it. So even if an area is completely filled, it doesn't seem like it.
One thing I really hope is fixed in the PS4 version is the holographic look the upper seating areas have on PS3. In the far off views it almost looks like static and kind of ruins the feel.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Screenshots (PS4)
The screens look great, but they are underwhelming. It's not that I'm a "*****" or anything, but besides the player faces, updated textures, and lighting, the other details don't look too far removed from the PS3 version. Granted, it's a transition year, and I do appreciate what SD Studio has done for this year's iteration of the game, but I'm just not too impressed with these screen shots.
Playing infamous right now and it's a massive leap from anything on PS3, I expect the same from the show.Comment
