None of these guys are really impactful enough to make moving Tulo or Stanton a possibility. I'm not even sure how they'd get either of them. You would need two top 20 prospects and then either a top 50 prospect or two top 75-100 guys along with them for either of them.

I don't think the Padres have anything. Headley is interesting but at Rf in Safeco? Don't see it.
Yelich is a beast in the game in a few years. Walker too. 99 overall at 25. 250 K's.Last edited by Bat; 04-11-2014, 03:49 AM.Mariners Seahawks Sonics UW Sounders

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
^^^ Hmm ok thanks! But I decided to start from scratch.
So here is my new situation.
Ok so I'm at game 1 right now, the season hasn't started yet. I need some serious help. I would to keep the trades not just fair but realistic as well. I am using stock rosters so there are no real prospects.
I have a top 50 prospect C, SS and 2B. I also have an 82 and 89 potential corner outfielders trying to get in to the lineup. The only one out of the 5 that probably can't start is my 2B prospect but he could if I needed him too.
So here is how my layout currently looks:
C: Grandal. Age 25. Ovr 78. Potential B.
1B: Alonso. Age 26. Ovr 78. Potential B.
2B: Gyorko. Age 25 Ovr 78. Potential B.
SS: Cabrera. Age 27 Ovr 83. Potential B.
3B: Headley. Age 29. Ovr 86. Potential B.
LF: Quentin. Age 31. Ovr 79. Potential C.
CF: Maybin. Age 26. Ovr 77. Potential B.
RF: Platoon Players
If needed I can shift Grandal to 1B, Alonso to 3B/LF, Gyorko to 3B/LF.
So as you can tell my 3 top prospects are blocked. So I am looking for some advice on realistic and fair trades to clear up some room for my rookies. Any ideas are appreciated!Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys looking for some help on fair trades for my Twins franchise I will be starting when the OSFM rosters are out.
To start guys I don't want to trade are Mauer, Willingham, Dozier, Sano, Buxton and Meyer.
Im looking for some help batting with a true leadoff man instead of Hicks and some pop in left field to allow me to move Willingham to DH. I was thinking Revere and Brown from the Phillies. What would it take to get them?
Also would love some pop at SS as Florimon cannot hit, what would a fair trade be for Desmond or is that not possible?
Finally As Mauer is now at 1B Im looking at Gattis at C, any way I could get him?
Cheers for the help.Covers at

As recently mentioned in the thread, Headley to the Yankees is a really good fit. Try for some prospects in return. Moving Headley would open 3B for Gyorko leaving you with an opening at 2B. Either plug in your prospect there or move E-Cab there to open up SS.
How about Alonso to the Pirates? Put Grandal at 1B.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

I'd say Desmond is pretty much locked in at SS in DC but Espinosa is certainly available. He provides some power/speed combo as well and would come cheaper. Maybe try and buy Drew Storen for 50 cents of the dollar in the same package? The Twins have had interest in him previously. Trade Perkins for Espinosa/Storen and immediately get a new closer in Storen?
Problem is pretty much everyone with value is a player you mentioned you want to keep. The Twins system is one of the worst so I don't blame you for wanting to keep the talent. Hicks and Arcia hold some trade value but that's not enough to get Revere/Brown from the Phillies.
Can't come up with anything good in regards to Gattis from Atlanta.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I feel like that might be the best return they can get for Cabrera. I know he had a couple decent seasons but he's really not more than a 1.5 win shortstop now, at best. If anything, that trade might be a little slanted in the Indians' favor."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
