Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am looking for a Fair value trade for Koji Uehara in my Sox Franchise and want to get younger. I have couple of guys that according to the spreadsheet seem like fair trades.
Koji to Marlins for Cishek
Koji to White Sox for Nate Jones
Koji to Angels for Frieri
Koji to Yanks for Robertson
Koji to Padres for Houston Street.
I am not looking for realism I just want to see what anyone thinks in terms of fair value.Comment

Scooter Gennert from MIL to SD for Jonathan Galves (Low B). ?
Also, is it realistic for the Astros to give up Mike Foltynewicz at all?Last edited by Friar Fanatic; 05-04-2014, 02:05 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Milwaukee likes Gennett a lot and I don't think the Astros are in position to give up any highly-rated pitching prospects, so i'll say no to FoltySteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Id say it's a bit unrealistic for Koji to go the Yanks....Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Looking closer at it, I do agree that Cabrera should be a low B. He's 27 years old, hits for a decent average, has some modest pop and can run lwith the best of them. Ben Revere is 26 years old and brings the same type of speed and decent average. We had him as a low B so it's only fair that Cabrera gets the same value.
To answer your question, yes, I do think that Cabrera for Ramsey is fair. I'd rate them both as low B's.
You're right, neither player is a realistic trade target. I consider C-Mart more untouchable than Wong.
If you trade for Wong, you'd have to include Headley. Matter of fact, in our spreadsheet, their values pretty much makes a perfect fit.
Moving Wong would allow the Cards to play Carpenter at 2B and Headley at 3B. I'm assuming you'd want to play Gyorko at 3B and Wong at 2B?
To expand the deal a bit...Headley and Cabrera for Wong, Ramsey and a lesser arm like Seth Maness? (Imagine the Cards lineup after a deal like that!)
I definitely like the Headley for Wong package (plus the others mentioned), and will definitely consider it.
Yep, right on, I planned on shifting Gyorko to 3B if I landed Wong. I like Jace Peterson at SS, and he did well in my Pad's Franchise last year - so hoping he will as well this season. Amarista could fill the void if need be, as well.
I really thing Ramsey could fill a nice role for the Pad's - whether it's a 4th OF or starting in RF (if Venable struggles), similar to Denorfia - who is a FA next season.Comment

Almost to June in my Cardinals franchise. I have a roster update to include all real minor league players.
Of course no catcher is better than Yadier Molina, but I'm looking around for back up catchers when Molina needs a day off. Besides Jason Castro of the Astros, you guys got any ideas for a catcher who is decent with the glove and bat to be a backup?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I have the rockies in an upcoming online franchise. They have great hitting but virtually no pitching. The rockies have some great prospects in AA that I could potentially trade or I was thinking about package tulo.
Could Tulo fetch a package of say Sonny Gray and Addison Russell? Would I be giving g up too much in tulo? Maybe add morneau for cespedes?
Any ideas to get some quality pitching to make a run?Comment

Go for a GB guy. Dallas Keuchel, Justin Masterson, Mike Leake, Nathan Eovaldi, Brandon McCarthy, Charlie Morton, Tyson Ross and Garrett Richards are all guys you should be going after imo."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Sonny would only cost you a couple of Mid-High B prospects, and you'd have a 24 year old stud to hold on to. Also at the same price could be Hellickson and Archer from Tampa Bay, and they are always looking for hitting.
I would say dont trade Tulo or CarGo, especially if your in the hunt for the playoffs
Would you mind helping me out?Comment
