Its a great tool, but its incredibly contradictory. For example, I don't think the Hammel/Samardzija deal in real life would match the sheet.

Well, I don't think that's the point of it. The point of the spreadsheet is to create a rational market, cause it's a video game. The ability to rip off a CPU engine isn't a skill, it's an exploit. However, in real life, the ability to rip off another GM is a skill - it's an irrational market. So the comparisons to real life deals have always kind of bugged me. But looking at the values in isolations, I'm noticing I really don't agree with some of them.

Didn't you author the sheet? I get what you're saying. Maybe because I don't get joy from scamming the CPU and creating super teams I don't use the sheet as often as some other users.

Chris and Aaron made it this year. I briefly looked it over but I didn't create it and I don't even think my edits made it in, lol, cause I made a lot that didn't end up being there. I dunno.

Probably why I value your direct opinion much more than the sheet.

So would something like Jaso + Lowrie + Kazmir for a mid C high C low B and 2 mid B's work?

Kazmir's one high C and one mid C in the spreadsheet. With the season he's having, I could see it being at least two high C's now (or one low B)

We used your input as a base and went from there. I think I speak for both me and 37 when I say that thoughts on values to edit from the community are encouraged. Just post them here in the thread and we'll look things over.

I'll take a nice look at the sheet this weekend. Just finished helping teeds with a roster update project, so I have a bit of time to spend on a new project. The nice thing is that your base is so good, it's really easy to run through it and see anything out of place.

I skimmed over the sheet. Here are some things I saw, and my opinions:

                      Billy Hamilton should be higher.
Michael Brantley's value should probably be raised to a High B, low B.
Jose Altuve should be High B, Mid B.
I would say Keuchel, but he's not up-to-date in OSFM.
Omar Infante is a little too high.
Jose Fernandez should be a "Don't Even Bother C'mon Son!"
Matt Harvey should be the same as above.
                      A-Roid, Low F.
Tyler Glasnow should probably be worth more than a High B.

Again this is my opinion. I will take a look further in the near future.

In the upcoming deluxe version of the spreadsheet that I've been working on with added top 30 BA prospects for each organization, I have Glasnow as a mid A and a mid B. Does that sound right to you?

                        Low B for Keuchel?

                        2 High C's for Infante?

Hamilton is currently two Mid B's. What are you suggesting? Bumping one of those to a high B instead? Should he also be a Don't Even Bother?

WAY LOWER, higher, way higher, higher. Can you guys let me look over the sheet before it's released? I'd like for my edits to make it in this time lol.

Looking forward to the next evolution. The consistency in prospect value impresses me the most so when someone like Glasgow shows up, it makes me question my valuation of him. I have him as B+/B- and would look to upgrade next year if he continues to develop. I would move Hamilton to B+/B+ but wouldn't make him untouchable. It's the Reds plus how fun is it to play with Hamilton?!

Glasnow + another equal piece could probably land Cliff Lee. Lee's value is Mid A, High B, Low B which seems reasonable enough. So half of Lee = Glasnow. Half of Mid A + High B + Low B = high B? I'd say two High B's for a Mid A and a low B is fairish. So Glasnow = high B?
