Just got through a ridiculous streak where my team didn't net me one stinking run for 5 consecutive games. The game that broke it? A 1-0, 4-hitter. The offense sucks.

      I play every game.

There's no need to sim ahead when you can just take your time, go at your own pace and then import your guy into next year. I plan on finishing my career playing every single game, who knows which iteration of The Show I'll be on by the time I do though. I'm currently in 2017 which is year 4.

Is there a way to get your team to not suck. I'm a 1B on the pirates and we have 40 million in budget available that they won't ise for 2 seasons now and they still have grilli as closer when he is a 62 and we have 2 better closers in the mlb roster

So I finally made a guy and stuck with him. Dante Cobra - a 19 year old SS. I didnt do that well in the showcase at all hitting wise - I finished at like .220, but I performed really well at short and on the bases so I ended up getting drafted 4th overall by the Twins.

So now Im at Double AA New Britain, and after a month, Im batting .329, have 2 homers, 6 rbis, and 25 hits. The team isnt doing so hot - we're 10-17, but Im doing pretty okay. I think Im also benefitting from putting a starters block in the "Arm" category, as it makes throwing guys out from deep in the hole a lottt easier (And I like having a cannon).

I bat switch too, which I'm really enjoying.

All depends who's in front of you. If there's a logjam of good young CP ahead of you, ask for a trade. Most teams are looking for a good CP.

I think the best way to do a pitcher is to jack velocity all the way at the start then prioritize stamina, control, and then movement. Having that power fastball is a huge asset early on. I don't think I'd have anywhere near as effective a pitcher if I had gone finesse.

I went with a velocity guy as well. I didn't crank it to max but I put most of the starting attributes onto velocity, bit onto control. I went with a basic starting repetoire of 4SFB, 2SFB and SL. Unfortunately though my stats have plummeted in my third season because I switched from Dynamic difficulty to HOF. It definitely feels like setting the game onto HOF is a lot harder than when it progresses up to HOF within Dynamic. Weird.

I started out with a 4SFB, CH, and 12-6 CB, and added a SL after my first season. He's been dominant at every level and has a fastball that's comfortably at 99-101 and once I got his stamina up to about 90 he was hitting that late into games. Most of the time guys foul it off or miss completely. Throw a change in there every so often or pull out the slider and they're toast.

Thinking about making a pitcher with a 100mph 4-seam and a knuckeball as his #2 pitch lol. Forget a changeup.

I'm hitting pretty poorly so far, and only got 1RBI.
Started over. I was stuck being DH for the Indians, and wasn't accumulating enough points to really upgrade my player like I wanted to.

Got drafted in the second round by the Brewers. Slumped for a couple games, but finally picked it up. I had my best game yet.

I hit a HR to tie the game, came back and hit another to win the game. End up with 2 hits, and 6RBI.

To get my hitter better what should my focus be on hitting wise? Contact or Power?

My 3 year career is ruined my team traded our best young pitcher 81 overall A potential and our number 2 in the rotation plus our back up CF for a 74 overall A potential pitcher who is 4th in our rotation and both are 24 wtf no matter how many times I exit and redo it they still do the trade

This is going to sound condescending, but, do you want to hit for average or hit for power? What type of hitter do you want to be? I'm guessing eventually you'd like to be great at both, but to start out with, do you want to be a great power guy in the minors who needs to become a better overall hitter when he gets to the majors, or do you want to be a guy who hits .400 in the minors but needs to add power to his game in the majors? Or do you just want to be balanced?

Even if you want to be a power hitter, you should still put a decent amount of points into contact to start out, or else you'll never barrel up the ball.

I wanted to be the prodigious power hitter from the start, so I put most of my points into that, with a heavy bias towards right handers. Same thing with contact, I improved my contact vs righties at a faster rate than lefties. Don't forget about vision, that affects how much of the plate you can cover. And discipline and clutch are useful too, but probably the least important of the hitting attributes (other than bunt, lol).

I just had a good game in the series against Jackson. 4-5, RBI, 3RB, 3R. I also got my hitting streak to 10.

After this game against Jackson I got called up to the Triple-A sounds. Really happy about that, but I would like to stay here for a little minute to improve my guy a lot. He needs work.
