Also can someone tell me why it's so damn hard to get traded to a different team. I am on the Cubs as a 3B and the team is just awful. I'm batting .415 about 25-30 games into my 2nd season and the team average is .255
I've been requesting a trade ever since the all-star break of my rookie season and still nothing.Comment

I made a power-hitter catcher a few months who was drafted 1st overall. Best I've done at any other position was the Cubs like 6 times.PSN: KMRBlue1027

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
After spending 2025 and 2026 with the Astros, I signed a 4 yr contract worth $110 Mil with the Pirates.
In 2025 I helped lead the Astros to the World Series title, my 3rd of my career while hitting 61 HR and 171 RBI
In 2026 we had the 2nd best record in baseball, but the Mariners were best so we were Wildcard. Beat the A's but lots in 5 to Seattle. I hit 64 HR and had 161 RBI. I won AL MVP both years and my first gold gloves.
So I signed with Pittsburgh in the offseason and moved from 2nd to SS to fill a weakness.
Career wise i just passed 600 HR's at age 31Favorite Teams:

All I can say is that I waited way too long to make an outfielder. So fun being a 90 speed centre fielder.PSN:Xplisit21

----
Since getting promoted to the Triple A - I've had a tough hitting time for about 20 games, but slowly started to pick up. I'm now hitting in the low 300s which I'm happy about.

Any way to earn more points? It there a setting or something?Comment

Can someone give me advice on making a starting pitcher. I get blown up every time I create one. Whether it's in the show case or minors.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
Had a crazy 2016 season, spent 2014 in minors, 2015 I got called up after a month. Ended up breaking my wrist and missing the final few months. Crazy part of 2016 wasn't even me. I played well hit like .298 28hr 100 or so RBI but Mike Wright started the season bottom of rotation rated a low maybe mid 70. By the end of the year he won the cy young with like a 1.85 era 19 wins on our oriole teamthat wonmaybe 65 games. His adjusted overall was a 96. Anyone else had anything crazy like that from a CPU player who was rated low like that. Unfortunatly it has not carried over. In 2017 through the first month he has an 8era and rated mid 70s again.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
Question, and sorry if it's been addressed but why in my first year, I called up to AAA but then start the next season down to AA again? I thought I already proved myself so to speak and would return back to AAA. Is this the norm in baseball or did I not do enough? I was batting over .350 with 15hrs and a ton of RBI's. Just think it's weird not to return back into AAA.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
Just started a new SS, 18 YO, SS. I was amazing my first two games, then went 1/7 in an extra inning thriller in my last game that probably downed me from getting picked #1... because I ended up 4th with the Twins! I was shocked. Being the 4th pick, I obviously signed... (my first time I was like a 4th rounder and went to college)Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
My SS Dante Cobra was promoted from Double AA New Britain to Triple AAA Rochester at the end of May.
I was absolutely killing it in Double AA - .357 avg, 7 homers, 25 RBIs
Ive played ~7 games or so now with Rochester, and Im sitting at .310, with 1 homer and 7 RBIs. Went on a tear the last two games to bring up my average, and also smacked a walk off homer in the bottom of the 13th against the Gwinette Braves for my first dinger. Was totally sick.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
Created a switch hitting 3b. I had a pretty good showcase, I didn't think it was that great, but I guess the scouts thought differently since I was taken 2nd overall by the White sox. My first season in AA went well, (2014) in 65 games I hit .332 with 25 doubles, 5 triples, 10 hr and 69 rbi. I didn't recieve a call up to AAA, but I was fine with that as I was still growing as a player.
In 2015, I was surprised to find out that I had been invited to ST. The reason I say surprised is because I didn't play in a single ST game. Yet even after not playing I somehow made the big club, maybe they liked my haircut. As Millar would say, I have Show Hair. Well, making the jump from AA to the bigs did not bode well for me because in 60 or so games I was only managing to hit around .180. At this point I was praying that the Sox would send me back down so I could continue to develop and thankfully they did and I began to flourish. In the 23 games that I spent in AAA during the 2015 season I hit; .373, 7 doubles, 7 hrs, 23 rbi. This really helped me get back in the groove so when I got back to the big club for the final month of the season I was able to lift my average from .180 to .223 and I finished the season with 16 doubles, 2 triples, 11hr, and 30 rbi.
The 2016 season was a solid season as I finished with an .270 average, 141 hits, 27 doubles, 5 triples, 26 hrs, and 73 rbi.
My average dipped a little during the 2017 season but my hrs and rbi jumped up nicely as my final numbers were. .251 average, 137 hits, 18 doubles, 5 triples, 33 hrs, and 93 rbi.
I'm currently 31 games into the 2018 season and having my best season so far. I'm hitting .336, with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 11 hrs (first in the league), and 32 rbi (second in the league). I am also currently leading third basemen in All-star votes, which would be my first. My guy is currently a 90 overall.Athletics Franchise:
