Ball boys and Fly ins. Did they make the game or get cut? KC is supposed to have a fly in.

I wonder if the fly ins are only in franchise mode because it does not sound like they are in exhibition. I really hope they are in, it was the one thing I was most excited for.

I'm also thinking that fly ins may be only for certain games in franchise mode. I will start a franchise tonight and see if they are there for opening day.

Edit player is virtually identical to last year. There isn't even anywhere that I can see picking the Japanese swing type so I can only assume they are tied to specific stances as I know that Ichiro and Kawasaki have it. There is only 1 type of hair that can be classified as "long hair" but all head/facial hair looks much better. There is 2 types of "long beards", though a couple like the handlebar mustache come past the bottom of the chin a little bit.

Ball boys are in for sure though the sequence won't usually run long enough for them to get the ball before going to the next pitch but I have seen them pick up the ball if they get to it. There is a bat/ball boy by the dugouts that will go after/pick up fouls but I haven't seen anything with them getting a bat yet. Unless it's a cutscene I doubt it happens because I think they cut to the next batter too quick. Will check better tonight.

Guess this relates to fly ins somewhat...

1.Have the city scapes, buildings and outside environments been improved or do some stadiums still exist in a Tron esque alien moon world? I always check this by hitting a high flyball and zoom into the ball, should see everything around the stadium.


2.When playing at Petco is the plane still landing every inning? And if it is have they made it look better and less frequent?


3. Do ball physics seem different/improved with the new 3d grass?

4. Are crowd signs still in?

Is it sounding better?

What i mean is, Ramone confirmed for PS4 they re-did all the sounds in crystal HD, so, comparing to last year, how are the sounds? I dont mean the music, but how is the sound as a fastball pops into the catchers glove? How does a hard hit line drive off the bat sound? Etc.

Any thoughts on the sound appreciated.

Can you check and see if you are able to edit all shoe colors for TOR/KC/OAK/PHI/CHC/STL or LAD?

The sound felt good Lets keep in mind it was late, my wife and wee one were upstairs so I could only have the system (a consumer level Pioneer 5.1 hooked up via HDMI) at mid range. Good atmospheric sound, good hits sound great off bat. Considering sound has always been a strong point of the series I'd be drinking the Kool-Aid if I came out and said it felt revolutionary, but considering I prefer the PS4 sound in general over the PS3 and that everything seemed to be in place and mixed well (ie. In the past I found that the game muddled a lot of sounds together in broadcast mode, that appears to be better this game).

Crowd signs are in. Jared Weaver and I believe Mike Trout both had specific signs that were flashed at appropriate times.

I'd have to play more to comment on Ball Physics being improved but as a general comment, nothing negative stands out about them. The ball did what I expected based on how it was hit/landed. I did have one instance where Kendrick tried to field a ball right on the line between the infield and the outfield grass and couldn't get a handle on it and it did not bring it up with his glove. Whether that's down to the physics of the outfield grass will have to be tested more.
