Yeah, but the firmware update came out only 16 hours ago.

According to the representative i spoke with we have to wait till mid night on the 6th to download the show

You cannot tell me that the companies involved in this did not know prior whether or not certain titles would have this capability or not.

You cannot tell me that the companies involved in this did not know prior whether or not certain titles would have this capability or not.

I'm sure they did, but whether or not that information is trickled down to the people who will actually tell the public via blogs, forums, tweets, phone support etc. is a totally different thing.

I know this is really bothersome! I for one am still hoping for a predownload as well, but one thing I have noticed with the PS4 and XBOX ONE is that downloading full games seem to go much faster than the older systems. Also after a short period of time u are actually able to start playing the game even though it hasn't completely downloaded. Unfortunately u can't play the entire game until the full game has downloaded but I'm sure you'll be able to get into an exhibition game I'm assuming. Just some thoughts. Later

I know the servers have been on/off all day.
It looks like from ckarlic's pic that it is available for pre-downloading.
I was going to pre-order tonight....
On my last look...it said "will be available for download at 12:01 on May 6th...
I'll see if that's the same message tonight.

I'm hoping that this is a case of the person you talked to either A. Not having any idea what you really meant (I.E. not understanding what pre-loading is), or B. Genuinely not knowing.

I just find it hard to believe that they would activate pre-loading, and not include one of their in-house games. Unless, for some reason, the time period between update release and release of the game is too close for them to activate the pre-load (which doesn't make any sense), I can't think of any logical reason not to put The Show on pre-load.

I'm still holding out hope.

Thats not a official Sony announcement though, forgot which thread but a user pointed out that the @PSN_Updates twitter handle is not affiliated with Sony or the Playstation brand.

Well it says it on their twitter page they are not affiliated with them, so theres still hope for everyone. I know 3rd parties do have inside sources but Sony hasnt even mentioned a thing about how far out we can pre load a game let alone which titles we can actually pre load. So fingers crossed for those going digital.
