I don't know if this is new or not. This is my first MLB game since the PS1. Last night though I hit a homerun to the left field foul pole. The game had my guy and the other two on base going around to home while the announcers called it foul. The Umpires came out and reviewed it and the announcers actually talked about how they would have to get the call from New York. They then showed a close up replay of the ball landing and it landed just fair at the base of the pole and the umpires came up and gave the homerun sign. This was during a RTTS AA Minor League game and it won the game for us too.

Playing my Yankee Franchise and Jeter steps up in the Box and they mention how the crowd will give him a big hand because it's his final seasonComment

Re: MLB 14: The Show - Little Things Thread
There's a lot of things that made me smile but I really have to give credit to the expanded commentary.
Played a game in my Yankees Franchise yesterday on Jackie Robinson day, Pineda threw a cutter for a strike and Karros said "And there's a certain number 42, who pitched here, who would be awfully proud of that cutter."
Another thing that made me chuckle was a game vs Toronto that went to extra innings - at some point Vasgersian said:
"Quick programming note to all the people that have tuned in to watch the aerobics class, due to the length of this game it will start a bit later than usual."
I also particularly like the commentary at the end of innings, when sometimes fans are shown dancing around a sign:
"Some of our brightest minds and future leaders in attendance tonight.... yikes...."Comment

Don't know if this was mentioned before, but I was pitching against the Brewers last night and when Braun hit a Home Run, Matty V. used the Bob Uecker call of "Get up, Get up, Get out of here, GONE!!"Comment

Re: MLB 14: The Show - Little Things Thread
Today is Mother's Day and SCEA appears to have not forgotten this. I just started a CPU vs CPU QC + Fast Play game (San Francisco at Los Angeles) and in the opening scenes of the game there is a fellow standing there holding a "Hi Mom" sign with a heart in between the "Hi" and the "Mom". Nice touch SCEA.
Don't forget to call your moms today. Without her, you would not be here to enjoy the little things this game has to offer.Comment

Re: MLB 14: The Show - Little Things Thread
I've seen people mention injuries that seem realistic. Last night I'm playing my Rangers franchise vs. the Rays in Tampa. Evan Longoria hits a shot to right field that LOOKS like it may just sneak over the wall. I get to the wall with Alex Rios...time my leap...and...WHAM...ball hits him in the face and falls for a double. He comes out of the game, and is day to day with a black eye!Comment

I don't remember if this was in before or not. I always thought it was just the bat, but for Father's Day players wear baby blue accessories.Comment

Another from me....
I can't remember back to the November Community Week.....but they had us drawing some of the fan signs to possibly use.
I think the "Ya Gotta Believe" sign is one of ours!(maybe mine!)
I'm sure that I'll see one of theSlab's in there.....his were great.

Henderson Alvarez threw 150 pitches thru 8.1 against me last night, WHAT THE .......
At the end he couldn't even throw a strike and walked me three straight times but CPU wouldn't take him out as they were beating me 8-1Comment

Re: MLB 14: The Show - Little Things Thread
I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, i searched, but I love how players jump over a ground ball, or run off the base path to avoid a tag. Also, I tagged a runner in the back and he kind of stumbled mid step afterward. I hadn't seen this happen in other years' games. But correct me if I'm wrongRavens

Re: MLB 14: The Show - Little Things Thread
Not sure if this is a little thing but it was a nice play, i hit a little pop up towards 3rd and the 3b dived at the ball and i was sure it was caught then i see the ball roll out from behind the 3rd baseman. just one of those little moments i haven't seen in the hundreds of games i have played of the show.
i wish i remembered to save the replay but i always forget about the share features on ps4.Comment

I love the fact that almost all of this stuff is exactly the same as the PS3 from two or three years ago.
