I had a chuckle last night as my fantasy Tigers were playing the Royals and Bautista hit a shot into left field and my left fielder Yelich went back and jumped at the wall to try to rob the HR. The ball bounces off his head for the HR. In addition, Yelich was hurt and had to come out of the game.

I saw this for Wrigley and one other stadium which I cant remember right off. Kinda caught me off guard. It was the pregame shot like from a blimp or something. Pretty neat. Kinda reminds me of Triple Play baseball games back in the day that had the fly in prior to every game. Nice touch.

              This was cool..

I took time between pitches so the batter stepped back, the home plate ump looked at his bat, took it..hit it on the dirt..and then gave it back to the hitter.

This should be a run as only a GIDP would prevent a run from scoring from 3rd to end the inning, not a fly ball double play.

Of course i got two outs in the 9th and then blew it losing 3-2 instead of being up 4-1 was going in but Latroy Hawkins is a bug for another day.

No the runner on first is forced to return to his base, so it doesn't matter when the runner crosses home.

I was playing an Online Franchise game last night with the Pirate and Matt Holliday(trade) and he swung and missed at a curveball in the dirt so badly he lost his bat which went flying into the 3rd base stands.

I thought it was pretty cool, haha.

Re: MLB 14: The Show - Little Things Thread

I'm loving the way injuries have been occurring this year. I just tried to make a jumping catch at the wall in the Rogers Centre with Nick Markakis, and I missed the ball with the glove.... so the ball bounced off the wall and down on to Markakis' head. I got a notice saying Nick was feeling dizzy and exhibiting concussion like symptoms, and was being removed from the game.
                      I don't like that I just lost Markakis to a concussion though...lol

Actually Rule 2.0 from the MLB Rule book agrees with my initial instinct (which was correct)
                        2.0 force out section

EXAMPLE: Runner on 1st and 3rd batter flies out. two out. runner on 3rd tags and scores, runner onf 1st triest to retouch before throw from fielder reaches 1st but does not get back in time 3 outs
if in umpire judgment the runner from thrid touched home before the ball was held at 1st, the run counts

That happened twice in my game where BOTH runs def scored, i checked replay and the umps were super dynamic i guess Oh well, just have to be careful as i dont see this being fixed in the logic of the game engine anytime soon. I know for sure this didn't happen last year

That is correct, it's called a time play. Since no force play occurred the run counts..

Head first into 2nd on a pick-off attempt, Torn Achilles Tendon - 60 day DL. I felt like crying. RTTS.

Edit: Turned into a season ending injury..it was April 15th when I got hurt (AA). Now I am crying.
