I wish they actually threw the ball back.

I've seen the ball flying back onto the field, and a cutscene where an OF goes and picks it up. I don't think there is an actual animation for a fan throwing it, however.

I was playing a game against the Astros, when Manager Bo Porter was signaling for the infielders to shift over to the right for Brian McCann. Of course I hit right into the shift and was robbed of a hit. Still pretty cool detail though.

Saw something I haven't seen before in all the years playing...

Attempted to steal 2nd w/ Castro, and Montero couldn't get the ball out of his glove in an attempt to throw - he lost the ball in transition from glove to hand.

I've seen this when trying to turn a double-play, but never during an attempted stolen base...very, VERY cool! They also showed a replay & commented on this. This game amazes me every day.


In the next inning I saw Tony Campana stepping into the batters box and "measuring the pine tar" from his bat by using the home plate as reference....AWESOME...lol


On a side note: I always love the pitch sequence-replay...it's great and never gets old.

Just had this happen to me when I stole third! Thank goodness it did, I was hosed if he got a clean throw down.

Pitching as Jason Hammel, I threw a pitch up and in that nearly hit the batter and Steve Lyons says "Please Hammel, don't hurt em!"

Was playing yesterday and hit a home run and it cut to the pitcher and it showed him spit. Very small but pretty cool. This is my first year to ever play the show so I'm not sure if this is new but it was really cool to see.

so I was playing as the Mariners at Tampa Bay and I was up to bat and the crowd was chanting "Overrated! Overrated!!"...it wasn't overly loud but you could hear it...thought that was kinda cool..anyone else heard that in the game before? it was the first time ive noticed it..

A few little things that bother me

The A's wearing solid green helmets on the road. They haven't worn those in years. Now it's even worse because they don't even wear the solid green hat with a gold logo anymore.

How small the wrist tape is. Most guys tape their wrists more than what is in the show. Wrist tape should be similar length to the wrist brace.

I had one play where Starlin Castro checked his swing on a close play and the catcher appealed to first, where the ump called it a strike. Cue an angry Castro showing the ump he checked his swing with his bat. The only thing better would be if the manager had come out of the dugout to argue with the 1st base ump.

This has probably been posted, but it's a 29 page thread so my apologies if it has. I hate that the clock in the dugout always says it's 2:50 no matter when your game is being played or what time it started.
