The infield ground color makes a huge difference in MLB The Show ballparks

    Citizens Bank Ballpark

    Petco Park

Bush Stadium (The lighting in The Show compared to the real picture in the outfield crowd makes me want to cry)

Oakland Stadium (Look at the Oakland crow in the outfield and compare it to the real picture....this one may have the slight outfield crowd glitch as well)

That is only a couple I could find. They need to get these colors right.

      Not going to ever change!

And why you ask? Because a lot of us here have been complaining about the field colors being way off in all the stadiums going back to MLB 07 The Show on PS3 and it was never improved. So I expect no change in the future on PS4 either. Sorry to say what you see is what you are going to get until maybe the PS5

I sure hope I am dead wrong but I do not think I will be.

Guessing it has something to do with changing colors due to field degradation and keeping the dirt wet during the game? Would require more than just a texture change to say "this counts as a high quality simulation" so the guys don't feel good patching it in an unacceptably simple manner.

It would also be great if the grass in MLB The Show did not have all those "blotches" or what ever you call them.

The show tends to run a little "cool" on the color spectrum.

I'm gonna try and add a touch of red, and yellow, to my picture via the TV controls and see if that helps.

I think that the visuals will take a major step forward in the next version of the game as far as dirt and grass go. I do think the foundation is there though for the game to be great in the upcoming editions.

It's pretty impressive you've done as much as you have already.

what about the Signs that aren't lit up in some of stadiums? like the cardinal sign on the top of the score board and the cola sign next to it and the Braves sign on their score board. are we looking at next year for those too?

edit: just noticed discussion is about the grass, either way my question still stands

I know I'm putting the cart before the horse, but it would be cool if we could have a variety of field patterns to choose from. I think it'd be a nice change up throughout a long, tedious year.

You guys are doing a damn good job. Can't wait for tomorrow and the future of this franchise.

yikes, yeah that grass color does not look good. The infield dirt in some of those pics even has a blueish hue to it, very odd. Hopefully if i crank the saturation on my tv it will look decent.

It just looks like the colors on The Show are just a little under-saturated and washed out. I'm sure it's not particularly difficult to fix, but I'm happy with the game visually. The new lighting this year is enough to tide me over.
