Have you tried just starting your stride earlier to get back in the perfect/good range?

I'm getting just late every time. Wasn't a problem last year.

I just ignore it..timing is all that matters i feel. I'm hitting well on Hall of Fame with sliders at 3 for hitting and 3 for power.

I dont think the stride timing is wrong, you're always going to be late if you start your stride right when the pitcher is releasing.

The correct stride in real life would be when the batter is touching the ground AS the pitch arrives at the plate...and to do that? You must start your motion earlier.

Youll see that, although the foot doesn't come off the ground until the release, most of the MLB players are starting their motions earlier in the pitchers motion. Which is what I think The Show is trying to make us do.

I don't mean it's wrong in the sense that it's not correct or unrealistic. I mean that Striding has always been "stride when the ball is released" in this game.

If you want a "good" or "perfect" stride you stride when they release thet ball, it's been that way since I started playing.

I think this year they have changed it to "start your stride when the pitcher accelerates forward" but there has been no official word as far as I know.

They really need to have year to year "patch notes" with all the changes they make. I'm sure Show vets would appreciate it.

Yeah, its really hard to get used to pulling back on the stick and waiting a second bf pushing forward for the swing. I liked the old timing better

Re: What's Wrong with Stride Timing?

It seems the only way I can use Pure Analog hitting is by turning down the pitch speed 1 notch. At 5 or higher, fastballs are almost impossible to get a piece of.
Not only is the stride different this year, but the analog swing just feels completely different and seems to suffer from slight input lag. I hate messing with sliders, but if I want to use PA hitting it seems I'll be doing some heavy tweaking.

for perfect stride you need to start it when the pitchers body opens up, just before he releases the pitch (i usually go when i can see his elbow)

my problem is that quick strides and them big step strides require the same start time, which makes no sense because your essentially not striding at all when your foot has been down for a a second or two

I've submitted a bug report at The Show Nation #13320 if any of you analog guys want to vote it up. I appears the dead zones are massive on the right analog stick which results in slight input lag. I think this is also partly why the strides are so out of whack this year.

I tested it here at my place and at my brother's place on 2 different systems/TV's. Same results on both systems.

Pull back on the right analog stick very, very slowly and watch how far you have to move the stick before it triggers an action (in game, pure analog). I believe this would explain most of the analog issues in regards to stride/timing and the overall unnatural feel of analog hitting this year.

Hopefully this will get looked at.

I'm having the exact same issue bro. I'ts so bad that even turning down pitch speed it just ruins using analog hittting unless you want to be late on every fastball. I played with it on and after 12 games I've seen enough. It makes hitting way harder and more frustrating than it should. LMAO so tired of swinging way earlier than I should which then leads to you chasing every high fastball. It puts you in very bad habbit mode! What have you been doing? I tjust hate lowering but even on 4 its a headache.

I haven't had any real problems.. I'm with the guy that showed when most hitters actually stride... way earlier in real life than mlb 13

I think strides are fine except the fact that it doesn't take into account the length of each player's stride.
I used to put important things here
