Re: Behind Everything
Messed around with the challenge of the week (glorified batting practice). Starting off Majority of my swings/hits (prob 85%, guessing) were to center or opposite field. Changed to Catcher Camera 2, and the difference to me was Night and Day! Suddenly I could pull balls down the line, foul even, felt like i could sit on pitches, in general it was easier and far more "user" controlled than hitting with that default view was. So forthose constantly late on hitting I would highly recommend giving Catcher Cam 2 a go, or perhaps creating your own similar custom camera postioned a little further back than default. Good luck.Comment

Re: Behind Everything
I've noticed this as well. Using pure analog hitting I'm noticing that the timing on the stride has to be much earlier this year. I'm almost always late. Hopefully this is something they will tweak in an upcoming patch because it is frustrating.

Re: Behind Everything
Hitting this year is a lot more like 12 then 13. Default pitch speed seems slightly faster and the timing window feels a lot more narrow.
It's an improvement imo. Last year it was way too easy to yank a high 90's fastball, it was actually pretty boring as nothing seemed threatening and you could wait till a ball practically felt like it was passing the plate to pull it.
Pulling the fastball feels a lot more satisfying this year.
Edit: Also Stride Timing has been changed, instead of the visual cue of the pitcher releasing the ball being the point at which you would stride it's a lot more earlier and may not have a visual cue. Hopefully a dev can clear it up for everyone.Last edited by Stolm; 05-07-2014, 12:04 PM.Comment

Re: Behind Everything
i was having the exact same problem early yesterday with being late on everything no matter how good i thought i was timing the pitch
so i changed the cam to catcher 2 slowed down pitch speed some and moved where i sit to play the game back a little bit so i wasn't on top of the game and could give myself a better view..just seems i can let pitches develop more this way..and today already have 2 homers and 2 rbis in a big comeback in the 7 inning

It's the lag from my TV that I don't know how to fix I notice because I am not reacting on pickoffsComment

Re: Behind Everything
It's not the lag from your tv, Im getting picked off extremely easy as well. There seems to be a big delay from when you flick back to the base and when you actually move. (my RTTS player has high speed and base stealing stats too.) I could easily make it in 13 so, seems to be something wrong with how it's working in 14.
Edit: Sucks a lot actually, my RTTS player is supposed to be a big base stealer and it's impossible to get back if you take an extended lead.Comment
