Yeah, for certain ones (especially with black hair) it might as well be a full beard.

Also, in case people don't know, the stubble looks MUCH thicker in the editor and on the cyberface than it does in-game. For many of the options, the stubble still looks like stubble (and not a full beard) on the field, as long as the player doesn't have black hair (use brown instead). Particularly, if you choose either the scruffy or scruffy goatee, then it still appears as a light stubble in-game.

What they really also need is some 5 o'clock shadow type options. Many of the players who are given stubble don't actually have any real growth, but simply just aren't clean shaven.

They are going a little nuts with the beards. I don't remember Colby Rasmus ever sporting a full beard

LOL I'm having a hard time finding one of Jones, but somewhere someone has a picture of him with a beard. Or he grew one in the off season sometime and no one knew about it.

I hate to complain about a great game... But man what're up with all of the beards? Chris Davis had a beard for a little while in the offseason, that is it. Not to mention Adam Jones' mess of a beard, Mark Trumbo... Victor Martinez has a goatee for crying out load, he has NEVER had facial hair.... I just don't get it.

Adam jones doesn't look real. U can tell the difference from real beard and ones they add on to players who doesn't sport beard. Rasmus and jones, toooooo clean to be a real beard.

That's just it though, even if he does find one of Jones, he regularly doesn't wear a full beard. He usually has something on his chin, maybe a dirt stache, but not a full on beard.

This is how I have always remembered Jones looking. Its not a game killer by any means, but it does look weird. I think in a couple of weeks it really won't matter to folks.

Right. Don't get me wrong. I agree with you.

But from what I recall, SCEA actually scans the players prior to the upcoming season.

I believe they do have a little leeway (Jodie and I tackled the shading of Youkilis' mustache the year before last), but I'm not sure they can go ahead and just change a player's scanned appearance on a whim.

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't even allowed to, let alone have the ability to remove something that was actually scanned. Remember, we can't edit real players for a reason.

Long story short, I don't think this thread can lead to any changes even if SCEA wanted to. Take that with a grain of salt though as I don't know it for certain.

well most anoying thing is if a player with a beard gets traded to the yankees this year, we all know yankees don't allow beards. last year Overbay had a beard and Youkalis. which should never have happened

Ya....the beards are overboard. Matt Holliday is maybe the worst player model in the game. He is clean shaven for 99% of the year and has a grizzly adams beard. The devs apparently thought Kevin Siegrist and Jason Werth were twins. And Michael Wacha....is that even him? lol. Just minor complaints of mine...the game itself is visually stunning. But being a die-hard Cards fan, i thought the Cards roster as a whole was pretty bad with the exception of Molina, Adams, Jay, Rosy, and Motte who are spot on. Some of the lesser know guys are understandable...but Holliday? Woof...

I agree most of the cards players aren't actual scans. Michael Wacha is a top notch pro now, and his model sucks!! Sorry, it's just plain bad, really detracts from the visuals when the player model sucks...

Overbay never had beard in game, just the stupid handlebar he sported for a couple weeks or so of the season opener and most of spring training i believe for the Jays 3 years ago.. Or 4. And it's still in the game now *face palm*
I would have thought new console, fresh faces... I guess not
