I have a Samsung 47" and I actually prefer my best buy brand Insignia 50" that's about 4yrs old. Runs 1080 at 120hrz and is still an awesome tv and has a game mode that is specifically for games. It's been my old standby for a long time.

Sony KDL55W900A 55" LED
This TV is beast mode for video games. Although, the picture detail is almost TOO good. The beards that everyone is gushing over are almost too sharp, and "electronic" looking. Other than that... simply amazing. The picture quality of this Sony set is unreal. I highly recommend it to anyone.Florida State Seminoles

I did some research on this and found Sony has lowest lag thru HDMI input(CNET). All Sony TV's scored so much higher than all the others and lag is a killer when playing baseball. Samsung is the worse TV for lag which is no surprise since their TV's are crap anyway. I just bought the Sony 65X900 4K TV and it's insane! Zero lag and perfect picture.Comment

Re: What kind of TV are you playing The Show on?
Not playing on PS4, but I game on the Samsung PN59D7000 (59" plasma), fully calibrated and with a 5.1 HT setup as well.
What's more important though is that I use the DarbeeVision Darblet DVP. I think that everybody and their mother who are video enthusiasts (and purists won't much mind either) should own this device. It's like the final calibration tool that your television can't give you for that added amount of "clarity" without adding any artifacts. I know that I've already moved a few OS users on this video processor, and I know that others can vouch for it. It's the one video processor that I can say is not a gimmick, no matter the screen size or type.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What kind of TV are you playing The Show on?
I play on both my 55" Panasonic plasma (model VT60 - top of the line) but I also play on my 24" PC monitor (Asus VG23AH).
While plasmas are great for low lag gaming, I can unfortunately still detect a little bit of it so I often opt for the aforementioned Asus monitor.
As for audio, I have a sweet 5.1 surround setup for use with the plasma (Definitive Tech 1000s) while I stick with the Tritton AX Pro surround headphones when using the monitor. The headphones output a "true" 5.1 sound, which is great for positional audio, but the audio quality itself is not that great. However, my main draw to the headset is that it uses an Optical S/PDIF output which is universally accepted on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, etc. Very few headsets are universally compatible.
