Re: What kind of TV are you playing The Show on?
I would like to play on my 65" but I hate taking up the great room for myself so a 40" Samsung in my room is where I play my games..Favorites:
Detroit Red Wings
Detroit Tigers
Michigan Football

Re: What kind of TV are you playing The Show on?
I figured I would post this question here as well.
I could use some help as I am debating about getting The Show 17. I recently purchased the TV listed below. What would be the best way for me to play the show and receive the best experience and benefits? I have the 55 inch model. Also, is there a specific input I should use? I still have the regular PS4.

55" Samsung KS8500. I am beyond hyped this year with Jr. being on the cover. As a M's fan, it doesn't get much better.

Re: What kind of TV are you playing The Show on?
I have my PS4 Pro hooked up to a XBR43X800D set.
The Sony X800D is a 4k LED TV with good picture quality. It performs well in dark rooms due to the good native contrast. It handles motion very well, with little...
Picked it up in December from Best Buy for about $600 . Definitely enjoying HDR and 4k on the set. Looking forward to seeing MLB The Show 17 running on it in a couple of weeks.
Problem is my coworkers in home theater are saying that both don't get true HDR. But I don't know if their definition of true HDR is the 9000 series from samsung and so on.
Basically what I'm asking is do you notice any difference between HDR and non-HDR on your pro if you turn it on and off? Because I'm not looking for night and day differences, just enough to justify not using my 4k monitor, lol.R.I.P. Rory Markas, Nick Adenhart and Tyler Skaggs

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but does anybody have the Samsung UN40KU6300F.
I know it doesn't have true hdr, but this model (or one similar) was on sale for $300. If anybody has this tv, is it a good choice for the pro?

rtings gives it an 8.4 for gaming and 8.0 for HDR gaming even though it's not "true" HDR.
It also has great input lag making it the main reason it's so good for gaming. And input lag is very important for MLB The Show.Last edited by PVarck31; 03-19-2017, 10:22 PM.Comment

In my opinion, that is a steal at that price. Great entry level 4K set.

Re: What kind of TV are you playing The Show on?
I'm really more intrigued by hdr than 4k. Even though I've never seen it.
True hdr tvs are out of my price range though.
If that deal comes along again, I might have to pull the trigger.

Best Buy had it for that price last week. It's already sold out on Friday. I thought it was a great deal too. It does have hdr premium, but I did some research it's not the 10k, but hey better than having no hdr at all.

The response time is just huge for playing the show. I get no lag at all when swinging or trying to hit the line in the pitching meter.
If you can find it near that price again, don't hesitate for a second.Last edited by PVarck31; 03-19-2017, 10:43 PM.Comment
