One that has everything set to manual that I use for the Cubs and another called "CPU All Auto" that has everything set to auto. But when I switch to another team besides the Cubs and go into the "game specific options" is says that everything is manual. And I can't for the life of me figure out how to manually injure players like we could the past couple years. In the end I just want to make sure that the CPU isn't pulling crazy and insane trades and that big league players don't get stuck in the minors. That's really the primary reason I like 30-team control. But I'm starting to question if it's too much.
To manually injure players you simply go into game options I believe and turn injuries to manual, exit, go into disabled list and press R1 then cycle teams until you get to the player you want to injure. I dont have the game in front of me and its late so hopefully the info I provided was accurate enough to help, the option to manually injure players is definitely still there as I did it with Medlen, Beachy, Matt Harvey and A-Rod to simulate his season long suspension.

There was no way to simulate the draft for the other 29 teams that you don't officially control. Therefore the only way to do the draft was to simulate the entire thing, for all teams (including the one you play with and control). Has this been changed this year?

That was changed last year. We asked at CD for an option to sim draft picks. Now in the profile you can set up to have drafting as auto or manual. For the profile you are using for the other 29 teams set everything, including drafting to auto, and for your profile set the options you want to manual.

I see absolutely no disadvantage now to 30 team control.

Re: Any reason to control all 30 teams?

I'm going to try 30 team control for the first time this season, I got the OSFM O.D 25 man roster, and guide put on here by someone else on setting it up correctly.

Anyway I have a question with injuries, I know u have to do it in spring traing prior to starting the season manually, however now that we are more then a month into the regular real baseball season other injuries have happened since opening day, what do you vets reccomend/do as far as starting a season now with injuries that might not have happened until say May 1 and go until say July 10, do u just injure them in spring traing until that end date or just start the season with them uninjured?

After Opening Day, I treat my franchise as it's own universe. So any injury that happened in real life after Opening Day, I don't recreate. I let my franchise play out how it will, with my only input in acting as a Trade Overlord (because the trade logic is really bad).

Thats what I figured I would do as well, the consensus I have been getting from others through various channels is pretty much the same as you stated. Thanks for the response

Alright, I'm up and running. Doing a 30-team franchise. With the CPU teams I have everything set to auto. Is there anything I need to set to manual? I know it's' personal preference but I want to be sure that there's not something that I need to monitor.

If you don't want to control anything for the other teams and just monitor trades, leave everything on Auto. Just be sure to check the pending transactions every day for trade offers. I had one slip through the cracks on me early in the season.

Re: Any reason to control all 30 teams?

I would like to do 30 team control and use either OSFM Version 2 or OSFM 25 Man.

My concern is that apparently Knight put injured player to 1A and they are not being brought up. I am just a casual baseball fan so I do not know the ins and out of rosters. Is there a list of all injured players that were put in 1A? I want to make sure all rosters are at full strength on opening day and let the CPU adjust as it will. Does the CPU not bring players up from 1A even if their ratings say they should be?

Also, I would like to use the 25 man but I have no clue as to what players to bring back up to the 40 man roster/majors after simming pre-season. Is there a list anywhere that tells us exactly what players to bring up?

                  Thanks so much!!

something to keep in mind with the rosters is that they are based on opening day. alot of folks like to play along as the real season plays along. I personally dont play it out like this....but my point is that while some players were injured at the beginning of the year, today they are not. They also have the opening day linups and rotations. These things will also change all year long.

you have to decide what matters to you.

I tried it with the 25 man OSFM roster and then simmed pre season and then began placing guys on the 40 man roster. My issue with this was the cpu wasnt moving guys up and i certainly didnt want to make all those roster moves...i just want to play.

So i started a 2nd chise using knights 2.0 OSFM. Again with 30 team control and simming the pre season. Once i got to the regular season the cpu kept the 40 man in tact, but moved all the best players up in a way that i felt was realistc. I didnt see anything out of the ordinary with the lineups or rotations.

i figured, i am not playing it out like the real season anyways, so it doesnt matter if the cpu changed lineups or rotations. So what if Michael Bourn isnt injured on opening day.

alot of guys are purest and want everything just like the real thing. nothing wrong with that at all. you have to decide how you want things to play out.

also, regarding your question about finding a list of players...i couldnt find anything. i had to use websites to locate the players to move.

Thank you- I would just like to have remotely accurate opening day rosters and let the Franchise play out from there. (Like my own little world)

I like the idea of the 25 man rosters, but I cannot find a list anywhere of what 15 players to bring back up for each team.

Also, does the CPU not move players up between divisions? A,AA,AAA etc?

Lastly, I heard the OSFM rosters have a few guys set at default down in 1A due to the fact they were injured before the season. Apparently, these guys get stuck in 1A and do not come back up to MLB even though some are everyday players or starting rotation pitchers. Is there any list of these guys that Knight manually moved to 1A, so I can move them back to MLB? I do not care about pre-existing injuries or things that happened before the season. I just want to ensure star players are not stuck in 1A.

                        Thanks!
