    I win too easily

I am playing a franchise and only playing the "AA" games. I am the Altoona Curve and am currently 10-2.

My pitching is always lights out, but I when I put the pitching difficulty to veteran then it is too tough for me. Is there any sliders I could use that would give me good games that I don't always win?

        Increase hitting to veteran.

What set up do you use to pitch? I recommend using pulse pitching.

When you move pitching to veteran you say it is too tough. Can you expand on that? How long did you leave it on vet and what was the score?

        Have you tried dynamic difficulty?

I will do that, but I am afraid I won't score many runs because I am already lucky to get 5 on Rookie.

I use meter pitching right now, so I should use pulse instead?

Veteran pitching I left on for 3 innings, and they managed 8 runs.

I have also not tried dynamic difficulty, should I do that?

            Yes.

It never hurts to try and find an ideal difficulty level.

Try bumping pitcher control & consistency down a notch or two. Don't overthink or overdo this though - fair warning, there could be a 10-game losing streak right around the corner. You just never know with this game. It's a long season and 10-2 is a nice start but that's about it. Be "concerned" when you're 20-2, or 35-5 or something. For all you know you'll be 15-9 in a few days. Just saying.

Rookie might just be too easy for AA games in general though. Try Dynamic Difficulty.

Do you think that moving the "CPU hitting" sliders up a few notches would help?

Last year Boston had the highest average runs scored and it was 5.19. They were the only team to eclipse 5 runs a game, the year before that no one did. The lowest was Miami at 3.17 which was historically bad --typically 3.6 is among the lowest. Average teams will probably score around 4 runs a game.

Yeah switch to pulse. Meter is too easy. Pulse pitching is kinda like increasing difficulty. Not because the AI is better, but you will probably miss your spots more often. Word of warning, it will take an entire game to get used to it, so do not be disheartened if you walk 4 guys in the 1st inning. It would be good if you are having too much success on rookie but not yet ready for veteran.

I have not tried dynamic difficulty, but I know quite a few use it. I would say get use to pulse pitching and then switch to dynamic and see how that works.

Try dynamic difficulty for pitching and batting. They'll increase and decrease to match your current skill level and it also adds half levels (for example, rookie+ is in between rookie and veteran levels).

I raised the CPU sliders for hitting a bit and will use pulse pitching. I will let you know how it goes.

It could but I would advise against it.

I am guessing here, but are you new to the game? If you are you should get comfortable with the game before altering sliders. Find a good base difficulty to work off of and adjust. Rookie is not that ideal difficulty.

Others may disagree, but I find that sliders should only be used to finetune and not shape the game. Your team ERA is 1.5. Granted it is a small sample size, but that is way too low.

No!! I have played MLB the show since 2010... Just always did RTTS now am doing a Franchise..

Will try dynamic with meter pitching first

then pulse pitching on rookie and see which I like better.

eh, you shouldn't have done those at the same time.
                            Edit: nevermind, saw new post

I agree, use dynamic difficulty or at least use dynamic difficulty to figure out skill levels for pitching and hitting and then go from there. Dynamic difficulty basically solve this problem without having to tweak sliders.
