Also, to get back on to the thread topic...

What I initially wanted to say in this post was I'm also curious to see how Venditte is handled in upcoming versions of The Show. I think it would be cool to have the ability to be a switch pitcher.

I feel like what they would initially do is make him an outlier. What I mean by that is he will be the only player that has that ability. It would take away from the realism of the game if generated pitchers could randomly show up being ambidextrous throwers. How often do those guys come around?

Yeah, it would probably lead to unexpected problems. But it would be cool.

I wonder if Venditte himself will eventually have to choose a side to commit to in order to advance or maintain his career.

Kinda how knuckleballers have broke the game in future seasons. A knuckleballer who also throws 97...yeah right. I think it would probably be best to leave switch pitching out of the game.

Like I said, I think they would have to make him programmed to switch hit but not make it an editable option users have access to. We also have to remember that Venditte is a 28 year old who hasn't had more than a cup of coffee at AAA. In all likelihood he will never get to the big leagues and with that goes are dream of switch pitchers haha.

In the Twitch Q&A, I asked about switch pitchers and they said that it would require an overhaul of the current system to include that. I guess that means that theres no chance of having that option this year if he gets called up. It would be interesting to see what would happen next year if (however unlikely) Venditte gets called up and becomes a significant contributor out of the Yankee bullpen.

Gotta say id never heard of this dude until this thread. Googled it and watched the you tube video of him and the batter who keep switching on each other. Hillarious and just plain awesome.

Until he proves that he can actually pitch proficiently with both arms at the Major-League level, I wouldn't even worry about this. He's already 28, he's been in the farm system for a few years now.
