Make moving through RTTS harder. No player gets drafted and goes to the show in less then a season. Make it so you actually have to work at it to move up. If the player you are trying to replace is out playing you, then you should not be able to take his position "just to move up".
Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

"Expand statistics and record keeping", More MLB records, add a tab to players profiles that shows award that they recieved each year like in NBA 2k

        I want "high sock sundays"

It would just be another sock option. You can choose to have long baggy pants all week like most players, then use high socks on sunday. A ton of players do this.

Plus they really need to fix the high socks look. It isnt high enough. They have it too low below the knee.

Expanded records would also be great. More advanced stats. K%, BB% for batters. BABIP, wOBA, fip, WAR, etc. I would LOVE those in RTTS and Franchise

          1) To echo what others have said, more league information and interaction. You should be able to check out any roster moves, news, etc.

          2) More GM interaction like you have in NBA 2k.

          3) Being able to use gamble ability points you earn in a game in drills. Say I have 100 points -- I can apply them or I can choose a drill and get a chance to earn more. I think you go .5x for no medal, 1x for bronze, 2x for silver, 3x for gold.

          4) More coaching strategy/signs during the game.

          5) Better point allocation for fielding. I think range should be included. Why should I get the same points for a can of corn as well as a long running catch to the track?

I would like to see more pitching options besides SP and CL. How about a setup guy, or a closer 70's style pitching 2-3 innings.

A power hitter like Miggy would have the "LightTowerPower" skill which would increase his power on 2-1,3-1 and 3-0 counts.
Some skills could be earned later in the career, for example a "clutch" skill may be earned after performing very well over a span of 5 playoff apperances (in different years)
Other skills could be obtained right off the bat, such as the "wheels" skill, but they would "level up" as the player got better and maybe completed a certain checklist to improve the skill
I like this idea. Although you have to be careful to not have redundant traits. Having a high power rating already increases HRs. One thing I know is lacking is Catcher skills. Some teams put a lot of training and emphasis on the catcher's ability to frame pitches. Some catchers make pitchers pitch better. This has never been a factor in any baseball game i've played.

On a separate note, I also like to see them incorporate position experience.

Make it more realistic by choosing to go the 3 or 4 year college route. Then just assume that you were assigned to A or A + for the rest of the year. When you start the next season at AA, it's more inline with how the minors work. It sucks you can't realistically play as an 18 yr old high schooler since almost no high schooler is in AA in his 1st or second year.

I believe reaction combined with speed is what you would call range.

I want a full game day experience. I want to get to the ballpark early and get some work in before batting practice, or do an interview. Then maybe I'll go down by the dugout and sign some autographs. I want to control my player and walk around the dugout, pick my bat and helmet and take practice swings in the on-deck circle. I want to be able to do everything at my own pace. If I hit a home run I want to trot round the bases at my own pace. Maybe I'll sprint, maybe I'll Ortiz, and I mean all the way round, not autopilot to third and then cutting away.

                  That sort of stuff.

                    1. Couple of things don't know if it has been mentioned but will add it anyway. If we can have pine tar on our helmets light to dark maybe we should be able to have pine tar on our batting gloves as well making for a more real effect. 2. Also how about a personal trophy case for all our accomplishments. The locker room is nice for tracking what you have done but a trophy case for awards would be very cool ie: MVP's , ROTY, WS rings and or championships, Batting tittles ect. 3. Have an agent who will negotiate your contacts for you as they come up.

I know I keep saying this, but it's such a minor thing that seems so easy to implement.

Sadaharu Oh's first name, and his swing animations. You know, that kick he always did when swinging?

I know, they can't use the name without permission. But I'm totally fine with it being in there as a generic motion. OS will figure it out, just like they figured out which pitching motion belonged to Cy Young (Legend Windup 39, by the way).

If the online worked well, I would say, bring it online and have Online team play you could even make your own clubs. Limit stats, So you could have the big Power hitting 1st baseman who is as slow as a box of rocks, Basically make your guys have to have some holes in their game online so its not all 99 speed 99 power guys 1-9 in the line up. But they have to make online work right 1st.

                          RTTS:

Licensed gear. FIFA's licensed gear selection & unlock model works well, as you progress you have access to a nice variety of gear to customize your player.

Player appearance in MLB is very significant -- much more so than the NFL and certainly as much as the NBA. Players distinguish themselves in thousands of different ways, some subtle (unusual cleat brand, i.e. Jose Lima with his Pumas back in the day) and some not (the "Sam Bat" fad from the early 2000s or Shane Spencer with that Reptile glove).

So why are there only three generic cleat options in the show? Why can't I unlock a Wilson A2000 glove? Make us work for our individual gear options, or try a method like Top Spin tennis, where you work to unlock sponsorships which then give you access to that gear.

I agree with previous posts about EA Gameface -- if you take the photos correctly, EA Gameface works incredibly well. My FIFA career character looks *exactly* like me and it adds a HUGE degree of immersion.

Player customization cannot be overemphasized. MLB The Show's RTTS has below average customization, I think. No matter how much you fiddle with it, you end up with a pudgy-faced player who may or may not have a weird chin.

Stadium editor and league editor just hand over the keys and allow us to change names of divisions or even delete then completely!! I'm think just a setup from the late 80's with an east and west.

I would definitely like more customisation options like hairstyles etc. Manager strategies would be cool, as would A-ball. I would like commentary to be overhauled but that's for all modes, not just RTTS.

I have several different characters so it would be cool to be able to export them and then import them into another RTTS character's universe, controlled by CPU. Like you create SP, get drafted by Mets, then start a SS save but have the SP on the Mets AA roster but AI controlled. It can sort of be done now I know but it's quite arduos to set up.

I'd also like to be able to randomise more things like jersey number, stances, followthroughs, takes, even names. And gloves, wristbands and bats should randomise more to some of the more unusual colours like silver.

I know it sounds a bit nuts but I'd like some of these options taken out of my hands!
