    All closers suck

Maybe theres just something wrong with my franchise, but every single closer simply sucks in both the NL and the AL.

In my first season (fantasy drafted team) my closer was Drew Storen, who was lucky to keep his ERA under 4. Then the next season I decided to make Pedro Srop my closer. He had a 2.25ish ERA the year before, and of course he has a sub 4 ERA as a closer.

I checked the rankings for delivery man of the year. The winner has a 3.75 ERA, and those in second and third are also way above three.

Whats the deal? Is this happening in anyone else's franchise?

    No issues here.

Rosenthal is 20 for 22 in save opportunities with a 1.10 ERA.

I'm using Ryan Madson of all people and he's 17/18 for me.

I've been perfect with Joel Hanrahan so far. Make sure you're locating your pitches well, the game likes to make you pay late when you miss your spots. Mix speeds a lot late, don't give up anything thigh high and you should be money.

EDIT: I also see that it's a league-wide problem. Not sure what's up with that, I know nothing about simulation and sliders and all that jazz, I can just tell you to do the above and hopefully that will bring your ERA down and conversion percentage up.

I'm perfect with Tommy Hunter (BAL). He's only got 3 pitches, FB CUT and SL. I intermix the FB and CUT, mainly using the cutter outside to righties/inside to lefties. The slider is my out pitch and it works nicely. It also helps he gasses it at 98 too

Me being good has nothing to do with it. I'm talking sim numbers.

I don't have any issues with the sim numbers either.

                      Re: All closers suck

It's more than likely due to a few really bad outings. Closers only get about 60ish innings per season, so a few bad outings can skew their numbers.

I haven't paid attention to numbers league-wide, but I haven't noticed anything that stuck out. I'll try to pay attention to league numbers this season (2016) of my franchise.

Yeah i'm not sure what it is. I was just wondering if this was an actual problem, but I guess not. It doesn't really bother me that much anyways.

I disagree. Against weaker hitters especially, BRING that high heat!!! You'll either get flyball outs or strikeouts if you do so with the right pitcher in the right count.

I think slider settings affect simulated numbers, so have you adjusted any CPU pitching sliders ?

Mostly because I am OCD when it comes to stats, I have to apologize to JJ Putz. He is actually 24 for 24 in saves now for me (no blown saves) and his ERA is a tidy 0.33.

Good thing because other than one starter, my other 4 starters are over 4.50.
