So Sad..
The lag online kills this game. It will say the guy miss handles the ball in the outfield and even shows it, so I round to 2nd and the next thing you know I am out. Players glitching, lagged batting and the announcer saying in the park HR when the dude is only on first. And everyone complains about how horrid the online is on MLB The Shows Facebook page when they post things and they still do nothing about it. I may think twice about buying next years version since they can't even fix the online.Tags: None -

Re: So Sad..
I will never play a baseball game online.
Of all of the sports games, baseball is the one sport that is absolutely unplayable if there is any sort of lag.
And that's not really MLB The Show's fault. It's just the nature of the beast. -

There has to be a way to fix the problem. I never have this issue in madden or nba2k.Comment

Re: So Sad..
I only wish they would kill online if it's not even playable which it isn't, if you want to have fun. Give the resources to offline gameplay, not expanded offline play when even a regular exhibition matchup can't be done without glitching and lagging.
I know I sound like a villain but I don't care about online more than I do my offline franchise, even if online ran smoothly.Red LegendComment

Actually lag has not been an issue for me. The syncing between you and your opponent is what is really destroying the game. There are times where you are seeing different things resulting in outs.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: So Sad..
People want an on-line masterpiece, and then the on-line aspect has quitters, 10 year-olds who act like it, or snotty people being ridiculous.
I am a member of Chess.com, and it is astounding the amount of complete jerks. You would think Chess would attract a more respectable and intelligent crowd then your average on-line game. It is HORRID.
Multi-player is a great thing if you know people specifically. To want a mode in any game and just have this "I can go play the world" thing is, when you get down to it, ridiculous.
I would rather they take out multiplayer, and put every resource towards the game itself.
I like Diamond Dynasty, but never progress anywhere because I only play off-line. In effect, it is pointless.
It seems like sentiment these days is that if a game doesn't have awesome multi-player it is a terrible game. The only thing is, multiplayer has as much merit as forums have true philosophical discussions. Does not even come close! Multiplayer is not a consistent pick-up-and-play mode. I have yet to see a game's multiplayer mode which isn't populated by completely ridiculous behavior, even if it prepared tremendously well.Last edited by Billy...a_kid; 06-17-2014, 04:34 AM.Comment

Re: So Sad..
I agree almost entirely. The only exception that I have encountered, ironically enough, is The Last of Us. That game did multiplayer right and seemed to cater to people who were not the typical goofballs you ordinarily see in other online modes. I tried multiplayer in The Show a couple of times and will never try it again. It just was not a fun experience.Comment

I don't care about online either, even if it was running all smooth I probably would just occasionally play a quick game.I only wish they would kill online if it's not even playable which it isn't, if you want to have fun. the problem is that year after resources are invested into an basically unplayable mode.

Re: So Sad..
lmao then why are you guys even apart of OperationSports??? There is an entire community here that plays the game how it is meant to be played, all these years I hear about the jerks, quitters, cheesers and yet there is an entire community here that plays all sports games as they are meant to be played. As far as Diamond Dynasty its clear you havent a clue what youre talking about as you can now play "Extra Innings" which is an offline mode against other created teams and able to progress just fine. Online is already separate on its own we have to purchase PS Plus just to play in online franchises, DD, HR Derby and its time they start getting it rightComment

Re: So Sad..
I've played 3 games that way and received 0 credit. I thought what you did, but it is as if you are playing those exhibition games against the MLB teams again.
Basically, it is a practice mode. Now, those 3 teams I played against can log in and get some kind of credit/experience for their training, but it does nothing to advance your team.
Also, why phrase it, "You have no idea what you are..." That is a good way to start an argument. You could have simply said the facts you believed are true without being demeaning or insulting. You are not usually like that.Comment

Re: So Sad..
Them taking away or stripping down online mode is only a fantasy because they will lose too many sales if they went that route. Even with a notoriously broken online experience, I know people that only buy the game to play Online Franchise all season, playing multiple quick games a day vs each other. We are already in way to deep for those modes, and it's going to keep getting more attention, than I care for it to.Red LegendComment

Re: So Sad..
Online has been pretty good for me. Sometimes I see those glitches where the game seems out of sync. It happens once or twice a game, but most of the time it happens I knew I was going to be out anyway and it doesn't change the outcome of what should have happened.
Only a few times have I advanced and gotten out based on the out of sync condition.
Other than that it's smooth 90% of the time.Comment
