Specific players you CANNOT hit with?

Hey I searched the forums for an answer to this question to no avail. Does anyone else have a player on their team who they cannot hit with at ALL? For me in '13 and this year is still Melky Cabrera. His contact is high but I cannot hit for average or power with him. He is pretty much an auto out. Anyone else experience this? any tips how to turn it around? Thanks.

I'm in third season of my fantasy franchise, and for the first two I couldn't hit with Jose Altuve at all. 9/10 times I would go 0-4 with him. He's lucky the sim allowed him to bat .249 the first season and around .260 the second.

Now a month into my third season his average is well over .300, and I expect nothing less than a two hit game from him every time I play. I have no idea what i'm doing differently (because i'm not doing anything differently) But it's just clicking.

Maybe you need to get to your third season to hit with Melky

Jose Abreu, especially against RH pitching, its gotten so bad I am strongly considering making him a platoon player.

I can't do a damn thing with Wil Myers in my Rays franchise. His bat has been cold for a month and half.

Josh Donaldson went cold for about the first two months and just about every at bat I had with him, he would either pop out or strike out (similar to what hes going through now). The instant I hit May, something just snapped and by the end of it hes hitting around .290. Sometimes cold and hot streaks really take affect on stronger hitters more than others.

I also do a lot of home run derbies for the hell of it and find that I hit with right handed batters much better than lefts. I find it really odd.

I can't get a hit with Emilio Bonifacio if my life depended on it. I can't even count how many line drives to the outfield I've hit with him that have been caught. I'm almost through April now and he only has I think 4 or 5 hits and is batting about .098. I already decided to bench him for Justin Ruggiano, but now Ruggiano is struggling and I'm contemplating platooning the two or if I should consider sending down/designating Bonifacio. Starlin Castro is flirting with the Mendoza line as well, but at least I've hit a couple home runs with him. Oddly enough Darwin Barney, of all people, is my third-best hitter behind Rizzo and Schierholtz.

I'm hitting .077 with Justin Upton through 10 games. Even B.J. is doing better (though not by much).

I can't hit worth a crap with Matt Adams. Through 89 games he has a .198 batting average with around 23 RBI's. Somehow I've hit 10 home runs with home though.

On a side note: In past years of the Show I have NEVER been able to hit with Matt Holliday. I've always sucked with him. But somehow this year he is my best player! He currently has the Triple Crown with .345, 21 home runs and 72 RBI's! It's crazy how one year you can't use them, and then the next you dominate using them!

I had the same problem. Bonifacio was awful for me, I had to end up trading him.

Strangely enough, in June I have Ruggiano batting .341. He's killing it.

In my first season during my Astros franchise I was horrible with Springer, Altuve, and Villlar. Now during my second season, im getting 2 hits a game with Springer, Altuve is picking it up, but I still suck with Villar. He has no power, but seems to hit everything in the air. I think Springer's stance threw me off at first. He just stands straight up in the box.

I had Bonifacio last year, wound up demoting him. This year I've got the following fellows underperforming through 85 games:

Mike Trout - .246 AVG, 18 HR, 47 RBI, .298 OBP
Jonathan Schoop - .232 AVG, 4 HR, 21 RBI, .305 OBP
Starlin Castro - .257 AVG, 6 HR, 33 RBI, .314 OBP

On the pitching side -
Brandon Beachy - 1-7 Record, 5.30 ERA, 1.66 WHIP
