Re: button vs button accuracy
I believe button handles accuracy for you. Button accuracy you have to press the button and hold it until the meter fills up to a certain point if you dont get it right then the throw will be off. I very well could be wrong on that though. -
Re: button vs button accuracy
The BUTTON interface allows the player to give throw strength input based on how long you press. Accuracy is determine via an "under-the-hood roll" which is modified by fielder attributes, throw strength (determined by player), throw distance, and the difficulty of the throw.
The BUTTON ACCURACY does the same, but moves the accuracy determination to the meter for player input. The meter has red (wild), yellow (off line), and green (on target) zones. These zones change dynamically based on the same factors that affect the "roll" with the BUTTON interface. The player must press and hold the throw target button as a needle moves (the speed of the needle is modified by the fielder's attributes as well) through the zones on the meter. The player should release the throw target button in the green zone to achieve an on target throw.
Both interfaces are additionally modified by the fielding DIFFICULTY setting as well."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

I was going to ask which interface functions the most realistically, but I don't think that's the right term? Which interface would you say gets the most out of your fielder by way of maximizing his ratings and attributes?
Also, which interface do you use when you play and what difficulty setting? Personally, I'm trying to get the most out of this game and I'm trying to play it the way it was designed."A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or if he dies."Comment

Great post. Great information.

I think the BUTTON ACCURACY meter is the most realistic, but the ANALOG meter feels more natural.
I play on Legend difficulty and use the BUTTON ACCURACY meter for "serious" games. I use the ANALOG meter when just playing casual/pick up games."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment
