Yeah - and that should be the fix. It's like they used the slow animation for "balance" but the problem is that the OF are too fast.

That and I think on the medium power settings on the slider (4-6) the ball comes of the bat too slowly for hard line drives and grounders. Lets too many balls get cut off.

This thread is also in the ps3 portion of the forum and @corndog86 had a great idea:

"Maybe instead of an attribute, you could make a sprint button. The downside to sprinting would be increase in injury probability. For example, a hammy strain running down the line. So when you do hit an automatic out you just jog to first and avoid an injury." -corndog86

I think this would be a cool if they added a sprint button.

The new attribute, although an interesting idea and could feed into differentiating players out on the field more, seems to have already been considered by the design team...and rejected (at least for now).

As far as video, if you are connected to the interwebs, hitting the PS button will allow you to record/upload videos. This fielding issue should not happen at all. So, I'd really like to see what folks are experiencing.
I use auto-fielding and auto-throwing. The ani I usually get is a slow roller that the SS backs up for causing the runner to be safe. I am out of town but will capture one for you next week ir so if you are really interested. I jave also noticed some more animations that were really well done. This is the only one that gets me. I am not sure about the one described earlier.

Woodweaver, I've had a few instances in the outfield where my guy catches a fly ball, and behaves as if there was no runners on base while getting it back to the infield. He goes into that automated, slow deliberate throw to the cutoff man after patting his glove a few times. Meanwhile the baserunner is rounding 3rd and headed for home lol.

I've never thought to try and capture a video before but, if it happens again I'll definitely record it.

I have come to the conclusion that I would really like to see a sprint button. I think that would be very cool
